I tend to look at things through the eyes of the reformation, and I have never felt that the reformation, which literally began with John Wycliff, had in any way ceased or ended. Rather it has continued, and of this, the words of pilgrim pastor John Robinson were truly prophetic.

So it is that I feel that the Holy Spirit of Yahweh has been gently leading a little remnant in each generation. Over a thousand years of Roman Catholic darkness turned the original form of "The Way", into something utterly unrecognizable. Each generation has seen a little move back to the origins of "Christianity", back to its roots so to speak.

In the 1800's we saw the resurgence of preaching the soon return of the Messiah; then the call to return to the true sabbath over the Roman sunday, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the advent of Pentecost, The return to using the sacred names of Yahweh and Yahoshua, the need of holiness and of obedience to Yahweh 's commandments being the only True standard for holiness. All these things are good and they have been ordered by Yahweh God Himself.

But at each stage of these "reformation events" there have been the fanatics, those who become more obsessed with the revolution, than with the God who gave the revolution. There have ever been those who took things "too far" or in the wrong direction. So it is, with the phenomenon that has become known as the "Lunar Sabbath".

At each stage of my own spiritual journey, from salvation to Holy Spirit Baptism to where I am now, the witness of Yahweh's Holy Spirit was there, bearing witness to the truth and nudging me away from error. I knew instinctivly , after having read the bible for the first time, that Yahshua did not come to this earth, die and rise from the grave, to give us a new religion. It was so obvious. All along the way, Yahweh has placed people or things in my path to keep me moving in His direction. when I first learned of the Name of Yahweh and Yahshua, I was overjoyed in my spirit.

When I learned what actually became of the bulk of the tribes of Israel and that I too was an Israelite, my life was revolutionized. When I saw that the law of Yahweh was still as needful as ever, it was as if a veil had been lifted from my eyes, and suddenly, I saw this world, and my life, in a brand new perspective.

But at the same time, I saw the Holy Spirit of Yahweh show me much error, even on this reformation trek, as Yahweh nudged me away from other things which "seemed" to be going in the same direction. For instance, Herbert W. Armstrong and the World Wide Church of God, with it's belief of eventual godhood. Much of the Messianic movements attempts at being as jewish as possible rather than being as Israelitish as possible.

And now the "Lunar Sabbath " movement. I have studied their argument, I have met some of them and I have studied their attitudes. Please do not misunderstand me. most of these pepole are as nice a people as you would ever want to meet. In most other ways they are zealous for Yahweh's commandments. I also do not understand why many of these people feel the need to be as "jewish" as possible; some even changing their names to Hebrew, or at least Hebrew sounding names. In many respects the people that I have come in contact with seem genuinely nice and devout. But I feel that they are genuinely wrong.

One of the things that I have observed is that most of these " Lunar Sabbattarians" are more obsessed with their lunar sabbath than they are with the Messiah. There also seems to be a void in their teaching concerning the soon return of the Messiah. There seems to be more excitement over looking for the phases of the moon than for looking for the Glorious Appearence of Yahshua.

One gentleman I met, took hold of me almost as soon as I had stepped into their church building and began "preaching" the sabbath by the moon. What a loss! Not a word of excitement about Father Yahweh or Yahshua the Messiah or the thrill of living in these last days.

It was all about the moon.

The articles I have posted here, are much more adept at exposing the errors of the "Lunar Sabbath" than anything that I could have written.

There is much truth to be taken hold of, but there is also much error, and we must keep our eyes on Yahweh/Yahshua if we are to know the difference.
