Many people may not realize that when they turn on the television in their home, what they see as a constant flow of images is actually flickering. Although we do not see this consciously, the repetitive pattern of flickering images creates a state that is similar to hypnosis in the television viewer. Studies by researcher Herbert Krugman have shown that within 30 seconds of television viewing, brain waves switch from predominantly beta waves, indicating alert and conscious attention, to predominantly alpha waves, indicating an unfocused, receptive lack of attention. The brain's left hemisphere, which processes information logically and analytically, tunes out while the person is watching TV, while the right hemisphere of the brain, which processes information emotionally and non-critically, is allowed to function without hindrance. Due to this phenomenon, television transmits information, which is not actively thought about at the time of exposure, much like hypnosis. When viewing television, we do not consciously rationalize the information resonating within our unconscious depths at the time of transmission and the viewer becomes more open and suggestible.

Because of the passive, hypnosis-like viewing of television as well as its predominance in the homes of nearly all Americans, the television is one of the most powerful tools used today. As of 2009, six companies controlled all of the major media outlets in the United States. That is a very small number of people controlling all of the information that streams into millions of homes across America each day through their television sets. In recent years, a number of investigations and exposes have revealed that these giants' silence independent voices and investigations, discourage journalism that interferes with the agendas of special interests, and eliminate diversity in the information they provide. Because of the control that these companies have over the information that most Americans receive on a daily basis, these criticisms and revelations are never known by most of the American public.

These media giants work hand and glove with the federal government as well as many multinational corporations to disseminate carefully planned messages. Through the television and other forms of media, they tell you what to think about, what to worry about, what to smile about, and what to be scared of. They have sold the public on the idea of the newscaster being an extension of the family, a trusted figure who encourages the acceptance of the information being presented as true and accurate. In 2008, the pentagon spent more than $2 billion compensating major media outlets for disseminating public relations messages. These messages are delivered to the television viewer as news produced by the television station, not as paid and produced by the pentagon. In the same year, pharmaceutical companies paid television outlets more than $4 billion for advertising, which included Video News Releases (VNR), specially tailored pieces that appear within the nightly news disguised as researched and reported by the local stations. No other industrialized nation in the world allows drug ads on television let alone these cleverly disguised VNRs hidden within the news.

And yet while all this has been happening behind the scenes, the American public has been duped into staking all their trust in select major media outlets as they express brand loyalty in television stations, newspapers, and magazines. Many people have been tricked into believing that the mainstream media reports only objective news while any information delivered from outside the mainstream is to always be questioned. Somehow the public has bought into the idea that the TV wouldn't lie to them. Many people will not pay any regard to information that is not covered by the major media; if they did not hear about it on the nightly news then they simply don't care. This is the mindset that the major media moguls want us to have, as we are willfully ignorant and obedient to their every direction. Our unanalytical and loyal viewership is in their best interest.

Major media news networks continually bombard us with the possibility of an endless amount of scenarios, which produce fear and then shape our reactions to real situations. This is predictive programming; it gets us familiar with an idea so that when it happens we expect it and do not react and question. Although most people refer to television programming as the shows that are aired on television, it can also refer to the programming of the people that occurs on a daily basis. Most people believe they are just simply being entertained, but they never realize that their way of life is being shaped for them and their thoughts are actually being given to them. They are being familiarized with ideas, concepts, and fear so they won't question certain interventions in the future. TV gives us what messages must be imprinted in our minds, gives us what button to push in what sequence, and if it's done the right way with the right production and the right propaganda then the public will react and do exactly as they've been programmed to do.

When one continually controls the information, one controls the people absorbing the information. The manufactured and controlled information on TV can be referred to as the signal and that constant signal is what shapes and guides the masses to their conclusions. In order to take back our minds, we must first learn to "Unplug the Signal." By turning off your TV you will realize the world that you're living in is suddenly very unfamiliar to you. You will see that news of no importance is constantly debated and analyzed, and as you listen to the conversations of people around you, you realize they're talking robots just repeating what they've heard on the news. This is exactly what Zbigniew Brzezinski talked about in his book "Between Two Ages". He said, "Shortly, the public will be unable to reason or think for themselves. They'll only be able to parrot the information they've been given on the previous night's news."

or natural disaster as an excuse to declare martial law

They're trying to develop an environment where they can take over, he said.

Court orders Christian child into government education
10-year-old's 'vigorous' defense of her faith condemned by judge

A 10-year-old homeschool girl described as "well liked, social and interactive with her peers, academically promising and intellectually at or superior to grade level" has been told by a New Hampshire court official to attend a government school because she was too "vigorous" in defense of her Christian faith.

The decision from Marital Master Michael Garner reasoned that the girl's "vigorous defense of her religious beliefs to [her] counselor suggests strongly that she has not had the opportunity to seriously consider any other point of view."

The recommendation was approved by Judge Lucinda V. Sadler, but it is being challenged by attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund, who said it was "a step too far" for any court.

The ADF confirmed today it has filed motions with the court seeking reconsideration of the order and a stay of the decision sending the 10-year-old student in government-run schools in Meredith, N.H.

The dispute arose as part of a modification of a parenting plan for the girl.

The parents divorced in 1999 when she was a newborn, and the mother has

homeschooled her daughter since first grade with texts that meet all state

standards.

In addition to homeschooling, the girl attends supplemental public school

classes and has also been involved in a variety of extra-curricular sports

activities, the ADF reported.

But during the process of negotiating the terms of the plan, a guardian ad

litem appointed to participate concluded the girl "appeared to reflect her

mother's rigidity on questions of faith" and that the girl's interests "would be

best served by exposure to a public school setting" and "different points of

view at a time when she must begin to critically evaluate multiple systems of

belief ... in order to select, as a young adult, which of those systems will

best suit her own needs."

According to court documents, the guardian ad litem earlier had told the

mother, "If I want her in public school, she'll be in public school."

The marital master hearing the case proposed the Christian girl be ordered

into public school after considering "the impact of [her religious] beliefs on

her interaction with others."

"Parents have a fundamental right to make educational choices for their

children. In this case specifically, the court is illegitimately altering a

method of education that the court itself admits is working," said ADF-allied

attorney John Anthony Simmons of Hampton.

"The court is essentially saying that the evidence shows that, socially and

academically, this girl is doing great, but her religious beliefs are a bit too

sincerely held and must be sifted, tested by, and mixed among other worldviews.

This is a step too far for any court to take."

The New Hampshire Supreme Court itself has specifically declared, 'Home

education is an enduring American tradition and right,'" said ADF Senior Legal

Counsel Mike Johnson. "There is clearly and without question no legitimate legal

basis for the court's decision, and we trust it will reconsider its

conclusions."

The case, handled in the Family Division of the Judicial Court for Belknap

County in Laconia, involves Martin Kurowski and Brenda Kurowski (Voydatch), and

their daughter.

The ADF also argued that the issue already was raised in 2006 and rejected by

the court.

'Most urgent is the issue of Amanda's schooling as the school year has

begun and Amanda is being impacted by the court's decision daily," the court

filing requesting a stay said. "Serious state statutory and federal

constitutional concerns are implicated by the court's ruling and which need to

be remedied without delay.

It is not the proper role of the court to insist that Amanda be 'exposed to

different points of view' if the primary residential parent has determined that

it is in Amanda's best interest not to be exposed to secular influences that

would undermine Amanda's faith, schooling, social development, etc. The court is

not permitted to demonstrate hostility toward religion, and particularly the

faith of Amanda and Mother, by removing Amanda from the home and thrusting her

into an environment that the custodial parent deems detrimental to Amanda."

"The order assumes that because Amanda has sincerely held Christian beliefs,

there must be a problem that needs solving. It is a parent's constitutionally

protected right to train up their children in the religious beliefs that they

hold. It is not up to the court to suggest that a 10-year-old should be

'exposed' to other religious views contrary to the faith traditions of her

parents. Could it not be that this sharp 10-year-old 'vigorously' believes what

she does because she knows it to be true? The court's narrative suggests that

10-year-olds are too young to form opinions and that they are not yet allowed to

have sincerely held Christian beliefs," the ADF said.

"Absent any other clear and convincing evidence justifying the court's

decision, it would appear that the court has indeed taken sides with regard to

the issue of religion and has preferred one religious view over another (or the

absence of religion). This is impermissible," the documents said.

The guardian ad litem had an anti-Christian bias, the documents said, telling

the mother at one point she wouldn't even look at homeschool curriculum.

"I don't want to hear it. It's all Christian based," she said.

'Gay' man sues Bible publisher for 'mental anguish'
$10 million sought for 'negative connotation' toward homosexuals

A homosexual man is suing a third national Bible publisher for "mental anguish" after he says the company published Bibles with a negative connotation toward homosexuals.

Bradley LaShawn Fowler of Canton, Mich., alleges Tyndale House Publishers manipulated Scripture when it published Tyndale's New Living Translation Holy Bible and the New Life Application Study Bible by using the term "homosexuals" in a New Testament passage, 1 Corinthians 6:9.

"One Bible dictates homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God, while the other is completely void on the issue altogether," Fowler wrote in a statement on his blog.

As WND reported, Fowler, who had a blog on Sen. Barack Obama's campaign website last year, filed his initial complaint against Christian publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson Publishing. Fowler, who represented himself in both lawsuits, said in his complaint against Zondervan that the publisher intended to design a religious, sacred document to reflect an individual opinion or a group's conclusion to cause "me or anyone who is a homosexual to endure verbal abuse, discrimination, episodes of hate, and physical violence ... including murder."

He told the Grand Rapids' WOOD-TV in 2008 that he wants to "compensate for the past 20 years of emotional duress and mental instability."

According to JoAnne Thomas on RightPundits.com, Fowler explained his complaint on his blog last year, referencing the I Corinthians 6:9 passage:

In 1970, I Corinthians 6:9 read as followed [sic]-

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulteres [sic], nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.

In 1982 ,the same scripture read like this-

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodimites [sic].

In 2001 the same scripture reads like this-

Surely you know that the people who do wrong will not inherit God’s kingdom. Do not be fooled, those who sin sexually, worship idols, take part in adultery, those who are male prostitutes, or men who have sexual relations with other men, those who steal, are greedy, get drunk, lie about others, or rob thses [sic] people will not inherit God's kingdom.

When Fowler filed his initial claim against Zondervan, he alleged its Bibles' references to homosexuality as a sin made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of "demoralization, chaos and bewilderment."

Both civil complaints were dismissed because Fowler did not file his complaints before the three-year federal statute of limitations expired.

However, Fowler filed a lawsuit against Tyndale House Publishers in January and is still seeking $10 million in damages. Fowler filed a motion for entry of default and a motion of summary judgment in district court, but the judge denied his motions, saying Fowler presented no proof that he served the defendant properly. The judge ordered him to reissue the original summons and complaint to Tyndale.

Fowler wrote on his blog that he has "a long battle awaiting him."

"[W]hen William Tyndale Publishing [sic], Inc., Zondervan Publishing, Inc., and Thomas Nelson Publishing, Inc. began revising the scriptures, each publisher implemented the term homosexuals within its Bible, yet failed to follow what the scripture teaches about doing so," Fowler wrote on his blog. "As a result, homosexuals have endured a life long struggle of being accepted within the American culture."

Principal bans Bible, suggests book about witches
Supremes urged to review 'kindergarten cop' case

The U.S. Supreme Court has been asked to hear a case in which a kindergarten student, under an assignment in which parents were invited to read their child's favorite book, was denied permission to share a Bible story and asked to read a book about witches instead.

As WND reported, Donna Busch accepted an invitation to visit her son Wesley's kindergarten classroom at Culbertson Elementary School in Newtown Square, Penn., to read a passage of Wesley's favorite book to his classmates in Oct 2004. Wesley's teacher had invited Busch because the boy was the featured student of "All About Me," a school event to feature a particular student and emphasize that student's personal characteristics, preferences and personality in classroom activities.

During the "All About Me" activity, a child's parent may read aloud from the student's favorite book. In this case, Wesley, a Christian, chose the Bible. His mother planned to read from Psalm 118.

When Donna Busch prepared to read from the Bible, Wesley's teacher instructed her not to do so until Principal Thomas Cook could determine whether it would be acceptable to read the Bible in class.

According to the Rutherford Institute, the principal "informed Mrs. Busch that she could not read from the Bible in the classroom because it was against the law and that the reading would violate the 'separation of church and state.'"

Then school administrators offered Wesley's mother an opportunity to read from a book about witches, witchcraft and Halloween. She declined the invitation.

A 2005 decision in U.S. District Court sided with the school's decision to ban the Bible reading. Officials with the Marple Newtown School District had defended their actions as reasonable, and the trial court judge agreed.

A Third Circuit Court of Appeals decision upheld the lower court's ruling that the school officials' decision did not violate the Busch family's First Amendment rights.

The court held that "educators may appropriately restrict forms of expression in elementary school classrooms" even when speakers have been invited into the classroom.

Circuit Judge Thomas Hardiman issued a strong dissent, noting that the reading of a passage from Psalms to Wesley's class was within the subject matter of the "All About Me" unit, which was to highlight things of interest and importance to Wesley, and the exclusion constituted viewpoint discrimination in violation of the First Amendment because it was based solely upon its religious character.

The Rutherford Institute attorneys are now urging the U.S. Supreme Court to hear the case. They argue that the appellate court's decision gives school administrators too much discretion to discriminate against expression on the basis of its religious nature in violation of the First Amendment.

Witchcraft in the White House

The Obama White House is abuzz with talk of witchcraft by first grandmother,

72-year-old Marian Robinson, who lives in the White House residence. A close

friend of Michelle Obama says the president is furious at his mother-in-law

after learning that she was practicing Santeria, an African spirit cult, in the

White House.

This is how it happened. Marian Robinson became increasingly frustrated as

her husband, Fraser Robinson, was hobbled by multiple sclerosis in the late

1980s. The family pastor prayed with her and counseled her, but "she turned to

Santeria in a desperate hope," Michelle's friend said. "Michelle put her foot

down when she heard that her mother took her dad to ceremonies where they did

spells and trances, and sacrificed animals, chickens and goats I think. But

Marian was desperate and kept going anyway, even when her husband was to sick to

go with her. I don't think the president knew anything about this earlier

because it was before they met. Michelle and Craig (her brother) wanted to close

the book on this and never talked about it again after their father died in

1991."

The first grandma appears to be worried about her health now, even though

doctors pronounce her in good shape. "Marian invited an old friend from Chicago

to visit her at the White House, and she performed a Santeria ceremony in the

residence. When Michelle saw this woman, a voodoo priestess she recognized her

from when her father was sick, she had a fit. When she told the president about

it, he blew up and said, "No voodoo in the White House. Absolutely. I don't care

what you call it. As far as I know, it only happened once," the friend

said.

The president was "totally in favor" when his mother-in-law moved into the

White House as a live-in babysitter for 11-year-old Malia and 8-year-old Sasha.

Obama reportedly told Michelle that her mother will have to go back to Chicago

if she does not "stop this witchcraft mumbo-jumbo immediately" and ordered the

Secret Service to not allow Marianâ's friend to return to the White

House.
