The Name of Yahweh/Yahshua

The following series of articles is meant to clear up the confusion surrounding the useage of the Sacred Names of Yahweh and Yahoshua or Yahshua. Whether you agree with them or not, once you have read the following information, the responsibility of what you do with this information is up to you. I sincerely ask that you take all of this and pray to the Father for His will, not that of any group or organization, be done.

Yahweh-The Name Of God

Let's look first at the word "HalleluYah". This pure hebrew word [not jewish or yiddish] is usually found spelled hallelujah, with a j rather than a y. Yet, it is always pronounced with the y sound. The letter and the sound of j didn't even become a part of the english language until the 1700's. Don't believe it? Take a look at an ACTUAL 1611 King James bible. The first thing you will notice is that it is called a King Iames translation. The I was a holdover, being pronounced as y. For that matter, take a look at our U.S. constitution. Same principle.
The first part of halleluYah is hallelu, which meams praise or praise ye. The last part is Yah, which is the One being praised.
Yah is the basic form of the Divine Name. It was so important to our Hebrew ancestors that they utilized it in their own names, such as Elijah-EliYah, which means " my mighty one is Yah. Other examples include JeremiAH, ObadiAH, IsaiAH, ZechariAH, just to name a very few.
The Divine Name is used over 6800 times in scripture.Everywhere the King James uses The Lord, in the original text it was Yahweh, or YHWH, commonly called the tetragramaton.
Jehovah. For a while it was believed that this was the actual pronounciation of the Divine Name. But even the Encyclopedia Brittanica now explains this as a erroneous.
Our Israelite ancestors knew and used Yahweh in reference to the God [or El ] of Israel. Literally hundreds upon hundreds of archaeological finds have verified this. It is found on jewelry, official documents and even personal correspondences.
So, you may ask, why is it no one seems to know this?
Not long after the return of some Judahites, Benjamites and Levites [ along with a mixed multitude ] to the land of Judah from Babylonian captivity, certain religious leaders began to say that the name of Yahweh was too sacred to be uttered. The people were told to say or read Adonai [ lord ] when they came across the Name Yahweh in scripture. As new copies of the scriptures were transcribed, the vowel marks for Adonai were used with the letters of the Divine Name YHWH instead of those that actually belonged there. This was to remind people to say Adonai instead of Yahweh. Centuries later, a german monk bunched the letters altogether and created jehovah.
Why is this important? "Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh the Almighty One in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain." Exodus 20:7. Knowing that this is how scripture ACTUALLY reads gives this passage an entirely new emphasis. Suddenly we're not just talking about profanity or "cussin' ". We are looking at something far more meaningful and far deeper.
Take into account so many other scriptures, such as,"And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered." Joel 2:32.
"Then they that feared Yahweh hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared Yahweh, and that THOUGHT UPON HIS NAME." Malachi 3:16. If you are thinking upon "the Lord", you're not really thinking upon His actual Name, now are you?
Now think about this. Lord is a substitute for Yahweh, the actual name of our Creator. The word "Baal" which came into hebrew useage from the Babylonian language also means lord. "How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies?...which think to cause My people to forget My Name...as their fathers have forgotten My Name for Baal." Jeremiah 23:26,27.
So going back to Joel 2:32, who do you want to be calling on in these dark days, Yahweh, or the lord,{ Baal }?

Proof About The Name Of Yahweh
Joseph Rotherham, in The Emphasized Bible, A New Translation, the Standard Publishing Co., 1902, says this in the "Introduction, The Incommunicable Name:"

The Name Suppressed: THE FACT
It is willingly admitted that the suppression has not been absolute; at least so far as Hebrew and English are concerned. The Name, in its four essential letters (YHWH), was reverently transcribed by the Hebrew copyist, and therefore was necessarily placed before the eye of the Hebrew reader. The latter, however, was instructed not to pronounce it, but to utter instead a less sacred nameAdonay or Elohim. In this way The Name was not suffered to reach the ear of the listener. To that degree it was suppressed. The Septuagint, or ancient Greek version (LXX), made the concealment complete by regularly substituting Kurios; as the Vulgate, in like manner, employed Dominus; both Kurios and Dominus having at the same time their own proper service to render as correctly answering to the Hebrew Adonay, confessedly meaning 'Lord'. The English versions do nearly the same things, in rendering The Name as LORD, and occasionally GOD; these terms also having their own rightful office to fill as fitly representing the Hebrew titles Adonay and Elohim and El, so that the Tetragrammaton is nearly hidden in our public English versions. 'Confusion', then, is a term not a whit too strong to apply to these varying devices. No wonder that even intelligent and educated people are continually forgetting what they have heard or read concerning so involved a matter.

Rotherham then gives reasons why the Name Yahweh must be restored, and from now on retained in the Scriptures:

1. Because its suppression was a mistake. So grave a mistake cannot be corrected too soon. An unwarrantable liberty has been taken; the path of humility is to retrace our steps. The facts have only to be known to justify this verdict, and to vindicate the propriety of not employing it in a new and independent translation.

Unger's Bible Dictionary, Merrill F. Unger, 1957, page 1177, says:

Yahweh (ya´we). The Hebrew tetragrammaton (YHWH) traditionally pronounced Jehovah (q.v.) is now known to be correctly vocalized yahwe. New inscriptional evidence from the second and first millennia B.C. point toward this fact.

Wycliffe Bible Encyclopedia, 1975, Vol. 2, page 690, tell us:

The Name par excellence for the Creator of Israel is Yahweh, found 6,823 times in the OT. Through Israyl's deliverance from bondage in Egypt, adoption as a nation, and guidance to the Promised Land, the Redeemer-Creator is especially known by this Name.

The Interpreter's Dictionary, 1962, Vol. 4, page 923, says:

Yahweh -The vocalization of the four consonants of the Israelite name for the Creator, which scholars believe to approximate the original pronunciation.

James Moffatt, in his translation, The Bible: A New Translation, 1935, informs us in his introduction:

Strictly speaking this ought to be rendered `Yahweh' which is familiar to modern readers in the erroneous form of 'Jehovah'. Were this version intended for students of the original, there would be no hesitation whatever in printing 'Yahweh'.

The Encyclopedia Judaica, 1972, Vol. 7, page 680, states emphatically:

The true pronunciation of the Name YHWH was never lost. Several early Greek writers of the Christian Church testify that the Name was pronounced 'YAHWEH'.

G-d said moreover to Moses, "You shall tell the children of Yisrael (Israel) this, 'YHWH (Yahweh), the G-d of your fathers, the G-d of Abraham, the G-d of Isaac, and the G-d of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations. '" Exodus 3:15, World English Version.

(1) What is G-d's name? Do you know? The Creator himself tells what his name is. His name is easy to identify in the original language of the Bible, Hebrew. But his name has become beclouded by erroneous translations, corrupted manuscripts and Jewish tradition. Confusion has resulted from the many titles used as names of G-d, making it appear that the Creator has many different personal names and we can choose whatever we want to call him.

WHY IS G-D'S NAME IMPORTANT?
(2) The scriptures place a lot of emphasis on the name of the Supreme Being. Our Savior himself showed this by teaching us to pray: "Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name." (Matthew 6:9, New King James Version) In this prayer the name of the Creator is not used, but rather he is referred to by one his titles, "Our Father". But our Savior placed the hallowing or sanctifying of his father's name as first in the prayer, indicating its importance.

(3) In another place our Savior prayed: "Father, glorify your name." The Father himself answered: "I have both glorified it and will glorify it again." (John 12:28, New King James Version.)Moreover, our Savior said: "Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name." (John 17:6,11,12) The Son of G-d again showed how much importance he placed on his Father's name. -- See also John 5:43; 10:25; 12:13.

(4) The Savior further showed the importance of the Divine Name when he said: "I have revealed your name to those who you took from the world to give me. . . . I have made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them." -- John 17:6,26, New Jerusalem Bible.)

(5) The scriptures tell us that those who belong to Messiah are actually sons of G-d. "For all who are being led by the Spirit of G-d, these are sons of G-d." (Romans 8:14, New American Standard Bible) "For you are all sons of G-d through faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26, New American Standard Bible) Certainly if we claim this standing as children of G-d we should want to know what G-d's name is, especially since, as children, these sons of G-d are called "a people for his name." -- Acts 15:14.

THE PRONUNCIATION OF THE CREATOR'S NAME
(6) But someone may say, "Isn't his name `G-d?' or `Lord'?" No, the apostle Paul tells us that "there are many `g-ds' and many `lords.' " (1 Corinthians 8:5) The words "G-d" and "Lord" are actually titles rather than personal names. The Hebrew words for "g-d" and "lord" are applied in the Bible to men, angels, and as well as inanimate idols.

(7) The evidence given in the Bible (from the Hebrew) shows that the Creator has only one personal name. But it has become difficult to know what that name is. How so? Let us see. Most translators of the Bible like to substitute the titles "Lord" or "G-d" for his name. If you open the popular English King James Version Bible to Isaiah 42:8, there the Creator is reported as saying: "I am the Lord, that is my name." The same statement is recorded in the American Standard Version in this manner: "I am Jehovah, that is my name." But the World English Bible renders it as: "I am Yahweh, that is my name." Which is correct?

( We must remember that the first part of the Bible was written in Hebrew-Aramaic (commonly called "Old Testament") and the second part was written in Greek (commonly called "New Testament"). If you are reading the Bible in any other language, you are reading somebody's translation, and often their interpretation of the Bible -- not the Bible as it was originally written.

(9) The Creator's name in the Hebrew Scriptures is represented by four Hebrew characters (Yowd, He, Vav, He). These four Hebrew letters are referred to as the tetragrammaton. They correspond roughly with the English letters YHWH. As most of our readers know, we have been rendering the Creator's name as "Yahweh" throughout our publications.

(10) Many Bible scholars, however, often remark that "the Lord" and "G-d" are "names" for the Creator. Translators, therefore, feel that it is okay to substitute the term "the Lord" or "G-d" for the personal name of the Creator. But as we will show, "Lord" and "G-d" are not really names of the Creator, but rather titles. The Creator's name appears in the Hebrew text over 7,000 times. Note the following:

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature: "Jehovah -- the imperfect of Jahve (Yahwe or Jehovah or Jahwe (Yahweh))."

Seventh-Day Adventist Bible Commentary: "And the name above all others that was looked upon as the name, the personal name of G-d, was YAHWEH."

The New American Encyclopedia: "Jehovah -- (properly Yahweh) a name of the G-d of Israel, now widely regarded as a mis-pronunciation of the Hebrew YHWH."

The Encyclopedia Britannica: ". . . the letters YHWH used in the original Hebrew Bible to represent the name of G-d."

The Oxford Cyclopedic Concordance: "Jehovah -- the name revealed to Moses at Horeb. Its real pronunciation is approximately Yahweh. The Name itself was not pronounced Jehovah before the 16th century."

American Heritage Dictionary: "Yahweh -- A name for G-d assumed by modern scholars to be a rendering of the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton."

New Century Dictionary: "Jehovah -- the common European rendering of Heb. JHVH (or YHWH), representing, without vowels, Heb. Jahweh (or Yahweh), a divine name . . . regarded by the Jews as too sacred for utterance and hence replaced in the reading of the Scriptures by Adonai or Elohim; the form Jehovah being due to a mispronunciation of Heb. JHVH with the vowels of the associated Heb. Adonai. A name of G-d in the Old Testament, being the Christian rendering of `ineffable name,' JHVH in the Hebrew Scriptures."

A History of Christianity, Kenneth Scott Latourette (pg. 11): "Israel regarded their god, Yahweh, a name mistakenly put into English as Jehovah, as the G-d of the universe, the maker and ruler of heaven and earth. Other peoples had their gods, but Yahweh was regarded by these monotheists as far more powerful than they."

(11) Another excuse for substituting "the Lord" or "G-d" for the Creator's name is given in the "Preface" of The New American Standard Bible:

"This name [Yahweh] has not been pronounced by the Jews because of the great sacredness of the Divine Name. Therefore it was consistently pronounced and translated Lord.

"It is known that for many years YHWH has been translated as Yahweh. No complete certainty attaches to this pronunciation. However, it is felt by many who are in touch with the laity of our churches that this name conveys no religious or spiritual overtones. It is strange, uncommon, and without sufficient religious and devotional background. Hence it was decided to avoid the use of this name in the translation proper."

(12) How well the translators of the popular versions of the Bible have allowed themselves to be duped by the Adversary! Note this! They are admitting to taking away from and adding to G-d's Word by substituting the Lord or G-d for the Divine Name! (Proverbs 30:5,6) Their conclusion that the Divine Name is "strange, uncommon, and without sufficient religious and devotional background" is meaningless as far as it comes to changing G-d's Word! And what they seek to change is the very identity of the One who spoke the words! If translators would not be so insistent on removing the Divine Name from the Bible then the name of Yahweh would not sound so uncommon!

(13) Another reason given for using substitutes for the divine name concerns the Jew custom regarding the name. The Jews had become superstitious regarding the pronouncing of this name, so they began to substitute the titles ADONAY (Lord) or ELOHIM (G-d) wherever G-d's name appeared. The original Hebrew alphabet contained only letters for the consonant sounds. Vowel sounds, while pronounced, were not written. Due to the Jewish superstition of substituting Adonay or Elohim for the Creator's name, in time the pronunciation of G-d's name was thought to be lost. Nevertheless, many believe that G-d's name in Hebrew was pronounced YAHWEH.

WHAT ABOUT "JEHOVAH"?
(14) In the popular King James Version, we can find the tetragrammaton translated in the text as "Jehovah" at four places. The first is Exodus 6:3, which reads: "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob by the name of G-d Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them." (The words "the name of" before "G-d Almighty" are in italics, indicating that these words were added by the translators -- see almost any other translation) And again in Psalm 83:18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." The other two occurrences of his name in the King James Version are Isaiah 12:2 and Isaiah 26:4. However, in most places in the King James Version, G-d's name is substituted by the phrase "the Lord" or "G-d" (in all capital letters -- to distinguish from the common Lord or G-d). Most other English Bible translations do the same.

(15) But some say that the word "Jehovah" does not correctly represent the Hebrew pronunciation either. Why not? As we mentioned above, the original Hebrew alphabet consisted only of consonants. Many years after the Bible was written, vowels points were added to the Hebrew text by some Jewish scribes. These Jewish scribes inserted into YHWH the vowels from Adonai (Lord) and Elohim (G-d), thus bringing the pronunciation "Yehowah", translated into English as Jehovah.

(16) The Revised Standard Version, (Preface) states:

"The form Jehovah is of late medieval origin; it is a combination of the consonants of the Divine Name and the vowels attached to it by the Masoretes but belonging to an entirely different word. The sound of Y is represented by J and the sound of W by V, as in Latin. The word `Jehovah' does not accurately represent any form of the Name ever used in Hebrew."

(17) The Encyclopaedia Britannica (15th Edition) declares:

"The Masoretes, Jewish biblical scholars of the Middle Ages, replaced the vowel signs that had appeared above or beneath the consonants of YHWH with the vowel signs of Adonai or of Elohim. Thus the artificial name Jehovah (YeHoWaH) came into being. Although Christian scholars after the Renaissance and Reformation periods used the term Jehovah for YHWH, in the 19th and 20th centuries biblical scholars again began to use the form Yahweh. Early Christian writers, such as Clement of Alexandria in the 2nd century, had used the form Yahweh, thus this pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton was never really lost. Greek transcriptions also indicated that YHWH should be pronounced Yahweh."

(19) Additionally, some have pointed out that the structure of the word "Jehovah" indicates that it may actually slander the Creator! The prefix "Je" is often used to represent the shortened form of the Creator's name, "Yah." "Hovah" in Hebrew means "ruin" or "mischief." (See Strong's number 1943) Thus its meaning would be "Yahweh is ruinous," or "Yahweh is mischievous." Hovah is derived from havvah which means "eagerly coveting and rushing upon; by impl. of falling." (Strong) Thus some claim that this how insidiously Satan the Devil, the real mischievous one, the real "fallen angel" who "covets" the position of the Most High, has replaced the Creator's name with a name that describes himself! (Isaiah 14:12-14; Luke 10:18; 4:8,9) It is for this reason that some have said that the strange word "Jehovah" really refers to Satan (meaning "opposer") the Devil (meaning "false accuser, slanderer")! NOTE: We have come to view this argument as just conjecture without basis. We see no reason to oppose anyone's use of "Jehovah" as the divine name, as this is one of the earliest pronuniations given in English, and is well known. However, since many object on the grounds presented in paragraph 18, we generally use the term "Yahweh" in English to denote the divine name.

SUBSTITUTION CONDEMNED (20) However, just because there is uncertainty as to how the divine name should be pronounced does not mean that we feel it is proper to substitute "Lord" or "G-d" for the Creator's name. The ancient Hebrews several times sought also to substitute G-d's name with a word that means "Lord" -- that is, "Baal." "And they forsook Yahweh G-d of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them; and they provoked Yahweh's anger. They forsook Yahweh and served Baal [the Lord] and the Ashtoreths. And the anger of Yahweh was hot against Israel." (Judges 3:7,8; see also Judges 2:11-14; 8:33,34; 10:6,7) And again in Jeremiah's time Yahweh spoke against those who "try to make my people forget my name ... as their fathers forgot my name for Baal [the Lord]." (Jeremiah 23:27) Baal and Ishtar [Easter] worship was very popular among many nations and under various names: Tammuz and Astarte; Adonis and Aphrodite, etc. Baal was the god of fertility and Ishtar, the queen of heaven and goddess of fertility. (Jeremiah 7:1

(21) Later the Jews began to substitute another word that also means "Lord," that is, "Adonay." It is possible that this term was chosen because it resembled the Greek Adonis. (Adonis was the Greek god that was loved by the Greek goddess Aphrodite.) Nevertheless, it is apparent that the Jews had come to use the term Adonay in the same manner as they had earlier used "Baal" as a substitute for Yahweh's name. This practice of substituting Adonay for the name of Yahweh is continued down to this day by Jews when reading Hebrew. As we hope to show in a later publication, Lord (or Baal) worship is very strong in the popular churches today. However, since Yahweh was very angry with his people for substituting "the Lord" [Baal] for his name in ancient times, surely he does not approve of the same thing happening today.

(22) But how can we be sure that "Yahweh" is the correct pronunciation of the divine name? There have been many convincing arguments presented for pronouncing G-d's name one way or another. There are very persuasive arguments for "Yahve", "Yahweh," and several other forms. Yet, in reality, all these arguments are to a great extent based upon some kind of assumption or theory. Some small groups have even went so far as to make individual salvation dependent upon using whatever pronunciation they have chosen for his name. However, if this were true, some people in certain lands could loose out simply because they do not have the same sounds in their language; as a result their pronunciation would be different. For instance, many languages do not have a sound for "W" in their language. If "Yahweh" is the demanded pronunciation they would be in difficulty, because they would probably end up pronouncing the "W" similar to a "V" or "B." To make salvation dependent upon a certain pronunciation is very narrow-minded, and we have no reason to believe that G-d is doing so.

(23) Thus the uncertainty of exactly how the divine name should be pronounced should preclude us from demanding one or another pronunciation. Such has led many into spending many fruitless hours of argument and unnecessary discord. Hundreds of hours have been spent trying to prove a favorite pronunciation that could have been spent in feeding the sheep and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom. (Matthew 24:14; Mark 16:15; Acts 5:42; 8:4; 1 Peter 5:2) The fact that several different pronunciations have been found amongst ancient writings indicates that the exact pronunciation is not what the Creator is concerned about. How much more important it is to praise Yahweh by declaring his acts, his judgments and the good news of the kingdom that will bless all families of the earth. (Matthew 6:33; 24:14; Genesis 22:1 Doing so shows more love for Him and gives more honor to his name than spending almost all our time squabbling over whether this or that way is the correct pronunciation. (Ephesians 5:16; 1 Peter 4:7-11) But to neglect to use His name over such triviality would also show a lack of love for the Creator, for his identity, and for his personage.

(24) Some recognize that Yahweh is G-d's name, but still continue to substitute "The Lord" for "Yahweh." However, the use of his personal name brings us closer to him. (Psalm 73:2 Would you want to address a close friend with titles such as "Mister," "Miss," or "Ma'am", without ever using his or her personal name?

THE MEANING OF G-D'S NAME
(25) Another reason the tetragrammaton should not be rendered by "the Lord", or "G-d" has to do with the meaning of G-d's name, represented by the Hebrew characters: . The usual meaning given to this word is something like "He is," or "The Eternal." Yahweh is the third person singular of the Hebrew verb hayah (to be or become). In Exodus 3:14 Yahweh gives Moses a different variation of his name in the first person: "I will be what I will be (Ehyeh' asher' ehyeh')." (Revised Standard Version - footnote) Many translations render this "I AM THAT I AM." However, according some authorities, the Hebrew word hayah, as used in this verse, means more than just to exist. It also carries with it the thought of coming into existence, or causing to exist. Thus the third person would mean: "He will cause to be," or "He causes to be."

(26) The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1967, vol. 14, page 1065, after discussing the usual meanings given to G-d's name, states: "All these explanations, however, overlook the fact that in Ex 3:14 a merely folk etymology of the name, based on the qal form of the verb `to be,' is given. Grammatically, because of its vocalization, yahweh can only be a hi`phil or causative form of this verb, with the meaning `He causes to be, He brings into being.' Probably, therefore, yahweh is an abbreviated form of the longer, yahweh aser yihweh, `He brings into being whatever exists.' The name, therefore, describes the G-d of Israel as the Creator of the universe."

(27) That this meaning is correct can be seen by observing the indicated meaning of Yahweh in Exodus 6:2,3. In verse 15 of Exodus 3 we read: "And G-d said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, The Lord [Hebrew, , Yahweh] G-d of your fathers, the G-d of Abraham, the G-d of Isaac, and the G-d of Jacob, hath sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations." In Exodus 6:2,3 (New Jerusalem Bible), we read: "G-d spoke to Moses and said to him: "I am Yahweh. To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, [G-d Almighty] but I did not make my name Yahweh known to them."

(2 Now, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew and called upon the Creator as "Yahweh." To Abraham, Yahweh said: "I am Yahweh who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land as a possession." Abraham replied: "O Yahweh G-d, how am I to know that I will possess it?" (Genesis 15:7, Isaac referred to Yahweh as recorded at Genesis 23:22. Likewise, when Jacob was at Bethel, after wrestling with an angel, he stated: "Surely Yahweh is in this place." (Genesis 28:16) In prayer to Yahweh, Jacob calls him by name as recorded in Genesis 32:9. Thus it is very apparent that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were familiar with the name "Yahweh."

(29) So what did Yahweh mean by the statement he made to Moses to the effect that he had not made his name known to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Yahweh had to be referring to the meaning of his name (as the one who causes) rather just to the word used to designate his name. In verse four Yahweh calls attention to the covenant he had made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them the land of Canaan. They never saw Yahweh cause the fulfillment of that promise. It is in this manner that Yahweh says that he did not make his name known to them. However, now, Yahweh is saying that he going to cause a fulfillment of that promise. He will bring the Israelites out of Egypt into the land that he had promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. -- see Exodus 6:6-8.

(30) Thus the name Yahweh signifies the one who accomplishes what he desires -- as denoting that we can fully trust that His magnificent plan for man will be completely accomplished. --See Isaiah 55:11; 45:21.

ADONAY AND ELOHIM
(31) Now, the Hebrew words Adonay [or Adonai - Lord] and Elohim [G-d] do not represent the meaning of the Creator's name at all. Both Adonay and Elohim are used in reference to false gods, men, and angels, as well as to Yahweh, whereas Yahweh is applied only to the Supreme Creator himself. Adonay means "Master" or "Lord." Elohim means "Mighty Ones" [when used with plural verbs, adjectives, etc.] or "The Mightier One" (Ha Elohim or when used with singular verbs, adjectives, etc.), and is usually translated "G-d," "god" or "gods." To substitute these terms for the personal name of G-d would actually be adding to and taking away from the words of G-d, something which is forbidden to do. -- Proverbs 30:6; Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32.

(32) The word elohim, with its modifications eloah, elah and el, occurs over 2,500 times in the Hebrew scriptures. These most frequently refer to Yahweh. But in many instances these terms are applied to others. Hence we must see the connections to identify who is being referred to. In Psalm 8:5 elohim is applied to angels. (See also Hebrews 2:7,9, where the apostle applies elohim to angels.) Other scriptures contrast Yahweh with other elohim: "Give ear O Yahweh to my prayer . . . . Among all gods [elohim - mighty ones; rulers] there is none like you." (Psalm 86:6- "Yahweh is a great G-d [el] and great King above all gods [elohim -- mighty ones; rulers]." (Psalm 95:3) "Yahweh is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to reverenced above all gods [elohim -- mighty ones; rulers]." (Psalm 96:4) Elohim is also applied to men. Abraham is called elohim: "You are a mighty [elohim] prince among us." (Genesis 23:6) Moses is called elohim: "I have made you a god [elohim -- mighty one] to Pharaoh." (Exodus 7:1) The judges of Israel are called elohim: "His master must bring him to the gods [elohim -- mighty ones; rulers]." (Exodus 21:6 -- The King James Version renders elohim as "judges" in this verse.) Many more examples could be given, but the above proves that Elohim, ("G-d" or "gods,") is not the personal name of G-d, but rather a title, also applied to angels, men and even the false gods of the nations.

BAAL WORSHIP TODAY
(33) If you ask the average church-goer if he is involved in Baal worship, he will more than likely say "No!" If asked what G-d he worships, he will probably answer, "The Lord, " "G-d," or maybe even "Jesus." In his mind, he is not involved in Baal worship at all. But in this he has been deceived, just as Satan deceived Eve into partaking of the forbidden fruit. (2 Corinthians 11:3) Such a person is likely to "praise the Lord" and call upon the name of "the Lord" in prayer without any idea of Baal worship. He has been trained to do so all his life. The popular translations of the Bible have led him to believe that it is proper to call upon the name of "the Lord" rather than "Yahweh." After all, it is generally assumed that the Christian writers of the Bible substituted "kyrios" (or kurios, the Lord) for G-d's name in the Greek scriptures. [We will discuss this later] Thus, he has usually accepted this tradition as truth without any further investigation.

The vast majority who have been calling upon the name of "the Lord" instead of Yahweh have been doing so ignorantly. These are somewhat excusable. But if we wish to worship in "spirit and truth" we must not just accept what has been handed to us without further investigation. (John 4:24; 1 Peter 1:18; 1 John 4:1) If we do accept a god named "the Lord" without investigation are we not deceiving ourselves and following a lie? We could be giving praise to Baal, who really is the Devil, for all prayers offered on the table of Baal are really offered to the demons, and not to the true G-d. -- 1 Corinthians 10:20-22; 2 Corinthians 5:14-16.

The word "baal" simply means "lord." As such, it is not a bad word, and it is proper to use at appropriate times. It is used in the Bible as various parts of speech. The Theological Wordbook to the Old Testament states:

One may own (ba'al) a house (Exodus 22:7), or rule over (ba'al) territory (cf. I Chronicles 4:22). A man may take (laqah) a wife and marry (ba'al) her (Deuteronomy 24:1). A focus on the verb ba'al from the theological standpoint leads to a consideration of marriage terminology employed by G-d in defining his relationship to his people. "For your Maker is your husband (ba'al), the Lord of hosts is his name" (Isaiah 54:5ff.). In Jeremiah the existing marriage relationship becomes a motivation for repentance: "For I am a husband unto you" (Jeremiah 3:14, ASV; RSV renders "I am your master"). In the justly famous new covenant passage the former covenant is described as a broken covenant, a situation which is the more sobering and shocking because "I was a husband (ba'al) to them, says Jehovah" (Jeremiah 31:32, ASV; RSV similar; cf. Malachi 2:11). The future delights which G-d will have with his redeemed people are stressed in Isaiah where the land is said to be married (ba'al, Niphal), apparently to YHWH. The name of the land, Beulah (passive participle of ba'al), signifies both the intimacy and the joy of YHWH in conjunction with the land ('eres, q.v.; Isaiah 62:4). The background which such language gives to the NT concept of Christ as the bridegroom or husband of his people, the church, should be obvious (cf. Ephesians 5:21 ff.). In any case one must not miss the close covenantal tie which this metaphor suggests, not only of love but of loyalty between G-d and his people. ba'al. Owner, possessor, husband, Baal. Ugaritic also has the double use of master and the name of a deity. The root in most Semitic languages means either "lord" or, when followed by a genitive, "owner." In addition to ba'al as owner of things, the noun in the plural is used for citizens (ba'alim) of a city (Joshua 24:11). In Jude 9 where the noun occurs sixteen times, ASV consistently translates "men," but RSV in addition to "men" employs "citizens" (Jude 9:2) and "people" (Jude 9:46). ba'al can refer to partner or ally (Genesis 14:13). Idiomatically ba'al as master of something characterizes the person (e.g. ba'al of wrath, Proverbs 22:24; of appetite, Proverbs 23:2; of dreams, Genesis 37:19) or identifies occupation (e.g. officer, ba'al of the guard, Jeremiah 37:13). As such it used as when wife speaking of her husband (Genesis 20:30), landowners (Joshua 24:11), "lords of the nations" (Isaiah 16:, owners of various items (Exodus 21:28,34; 22:8; 2 Kings 1:, creditors (Deuteronomy 15:2), Yahweh (Isaiah 54:5; Hosea 2:16), and to false gods (Judges 2:11,13).

NOTE: The Theological Workbook to the Old Testament abbreviates the names of Bible books; we have given them with full names.

Likewise, its English translation, "Lord," is used in the similar ways. A person can be "lord of his home," or he can "lord it over a group." As such we should not be afraid to use this term, for the word itself, if used as above, in no way gives worship to a false god, or idolatry. Indeed, the word can be also be translated "Master," or "Mister." In Spanish (and some other languages), there is only one word for "Lord" and "Mister": Señor.

However, it is improper to use the term "the Lord" (Spanish "El Señor") in such a manner as to make it the proper name of the deity we worship. There was also a specific Canaanite god called "hab-Baal", that is, "the Lord." It is when the word "Baal" or "Lord" is used in this sense, or as a substitute for G-d's name, that it becomes an element of false idol worship. Here are only a few scriptures that tell us how Yahweh felt about the worship of other gods:

"I am [Yahweh] your G-d, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I [Yahweh] your G-d am a jealous God." -- Exodus 20:2-5, Revised Standard Version

"Observe what I command you this day. . . . Take care not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you are going, or it will become a snare among you. You shall tear down their altars, break their pillars, and cut down their sacred poles (for you shall worship no other god, because [Yahweh], whose name is Jealous, is a jealous G-d." -- Exodus 34:11-36, New Revised Standard Version.

"When you have had children, and children's children, and become complacent in the land, if you act corruptly by making an idol in the form of anything, thus doing what is evil in the sight of [Yahweh] your G-d, and provoking him to anger, I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that you will soon utterly perish from the land." -- Deuteronomy 4:25,26, New Revised Standard Version.

Nevertheless, the scriptures tell us that the Israelites did indulge themselves with the idolatrous gods of the lands in which they resided. Among these gods one name keeps occurring over and over, that is, Baal, or "the Lord." Regarding this, the Theological Wordbook of the OT states:

Throughout the period of the judges, Israel succumbed to this infectious cult (Jude 2:11ff.; 6:25) and had to be rescued from its tragic consequences by Yahweh's judges. During the period of the Omrides, Baal worship became the official state religion of the northern kingdom (I Kings 16:31). Leah Bronner has presented convincing argument that Israel's miracles by Elijah and Elisha served as a polemic for G-d against the very powers attributed to this pagan nature deity, namely, fire (I Kings 18:17ff.; II Kings 1:9-16), rain (I Kings 17:1; 18:41-46), food (I Kings 17:1-6, 8-16; II Kings 4:1ff.); children (II Kings 4:14-17); revivification (I Kings 17:17-23; II Kings 4:18-37; 13:20-22, The Stories of Elijah and Elisha as Polemics Against Baal Worship, Leiden, 1968.) But their miracles did not rid the land of this degraded cult and it brought about the captivity of the northern kingdom (Hosea). It also infiltrated the southern kingdom (II Kings 11:18; 21:2ff.), and in spite of Josiah's reform (II Kings 23:4ff.), brought the nation into exile (Ezekiel 16; 23, etc.). The Hosea discourse describes how Israel, who received gifts of grain and oil from YHWH, used these for the worship of Baal (Hosea 2:8 [H 10]).

NOTE: The Theological Workbook to the Old Testament abbreviates the names of Bible books; we have given them with full names.

This god named Baal is later called Tammuz. Tammuz (or Baal, "the Lord") worship was closely associated with the cross, tree, and sun worship. This worship is still carried on amongst most traditional Christian groups in the form of the cross, Christmas trees, wreaths and Easter.

Once a disciple of Messiah learns the truth concerning these matters, he or she should immediately remove all these forms of Baal ("the Lord") worship from their lives! "Come out of her my people!" (Revelation 18:4) Yes, get out of all kinds of worship that entertains Satan's deceptions of idolatry!

Kurios is YAHWEH in the New Testament.

In other words, other than saying THE LORD JESUS CHRIST in King James it would be properly translated "YAHWEH YAHSHUA HA MACHIAC".

Ps 98:1

Ps 110:1,2

Ps 121:1,2

Hy 19:1,2,4

Hy 60:1,2,5

Luke 2:8-20

Acts 2:29-36

The fact that Jesus Christ/Yahshua is the Son of God means that He is Himself true God. So: whatever characteristics apply to God apply also to Jesus Christ/Yahshua. Athanasian Creed:"the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty co-eternal. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit." So, what the church confesses in Article 1 of the Belgic Confession -that God is "eternal, incomprehensible, invisible, immutable, infinite, almighty, perfectly wise, just, good, and the overflowing fountain of all good"- is true not just of God the Father but also of God the Son. As God's "only begotten Son," Jesus/Yahshua is true God in every sense the Father is, and therefore that list of characteristics is true with respect to Him also.

Valuable as this comparison with the figures of history may be, brothers and sisters, it does not do justice to what the Lord has revealed about the term "Lord" in the Bible. If you will bear with me for a moment, I need to tell you something about the Hebrew and Greek languages. You are aware that in our translations of the Old Testament the term "Lord" appears in two forms. You find it printed in your Bibles in lower case letters, and then the term captures the notion of master; it translates the Hebrew word Adonai. So a servant addresses the king with the term "My Lord". That same phrase also gets used in relation to God, and the point is that someone addresses God as his Master, his Owner.

But the Old Testament also has thousands of instances where the term "Lord appears in upper case letters. We've heard it numerous times in the past; where the term "Lord" appears in capital letters in our translations, the Hebrew has the word "Yahweh", God's covenant name. We understand that this name "Lord", Yahweh, is used of God Almighty alone.

Well now, the Hebrew Old Testament was translated into Greek not all that long after the Old Testament was completed a couple of centuries before Jesus'/Yahshua's birth. The thing is now that the translators chose to use one Greek word to translate both of those Hebrew words. Both the Hebrew word "Adonai" and the Hebrew word "Yahweh" comes into Greek as "kurios". And that term is consistently translated in the New Testament with the English word "Lord".

What that means? On the night of Jesus'/Yahshua's birth an angel appeared to the shepherds in the field, with the good news that "there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord". (Luke 2:11). What did that sentence mean to the shepherds? The angel says that the baby is the kurios, is "the Lord". These shepherds hear that term with their Old Testament ears, and what do they hear: that a master is born, the equivalent of a king? Or do they hear in the term kurios the name of their covenant God, and so conclude that Yahweh is born? Some verses later we read that the shepherds reported their experiences to others, and these others "marveled" (vs 1, and the point is that they were astonished, surprised. Given the Old Testament background to the Greek word kurios, their astonishment is no surprise to us at all; that the Kurios is born is to say that Yahweh is born, how astonishing!!

I draw your attention also to Elizabeth's word when Mary came to visit her. Luke 1:43: Elizabeth welcomed Mary with this question: "why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?". What does Elizabeth mean with the term Kurios here? Simply that the child in Mary's womb is her Master, is a king? Given that the Greek term kurios translates the Old Testament term Yahweh there is certainly more caught in Elizabeth's greeting than an acknowledgement that the coming baby is some form of royalty. Here's an awareness that Yahweh Himself comes in the flesh! The only begotten Son of God, true God with the Father and the Holy Spirit, becomes a man; Yahweh on the face of the earth!!

The Kurios lived on earth as true man for some 33 years. True, the human eye did not see that He was true God, Yahweh in the flesh; the human eye saw only a man, be it one who could raise the dead and still the storms at sea. But Yahweh He was, the God of the covenant come in the flesh. That is why, on the cross of Calvary, He could fight against sin and the devil, and triumph, yes, that is why on the cross of Calvary He could pay for sin with the price of His blood, and so ransom God's children from the power of the devil. Here is displayed the radical faithfulness of God to the promises He made in the beginning; He is Yahweh, thoroughly faithful!

So, after Jesus/Yahshua's resurrection from the dead, the disciples Thomas met Him with his statement of faith; "my Lord and my God,", he said of Jesus/Yahshua. He uses the word Lord, Kurios, and sets the term side by side with the term God, and so there is no ambiguity as to what Thomas meant when he called Jesus/Yahshua his Kurios; He was deliberately attaching to Jesus/Yahshua the Old Testament personal name of God, Yahweh. That Jesus/Yahshua should suffer and die on the cross to pay for sin, and so deliver Thomas from Satan's power: here is pointed up the glorious heights of what it means that the Lord God is Yahweh, God of the covenant! Exactly because this covenant God is so faithful is salvation so very certain for Thomas, and for all who believe!

Some short weeks after Thomas' confession about Jesus/Yahshua's identity, God the Father took the triumphant Christ into heaven, and gave Him a seat at His right hand. On the day of Pentecost the apostle Peter described to his hearers what the significance was of this ascension. Said Peter: "let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus/Yahsha, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36). Here again you have the word Kurios. This time, though, it appears in the context of Peter's quote from Ps 110, about the Lord God saying, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make your enemies Your footstool." Here the picture is very much that of authority, of being a Master over another. That's exactly Jesus/Yahshua's words before His ascension, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth" (Mt 28:1. And that is why John in his vision could see Jesus/Yahshua having a name written on His robe and on His thigh, "King of kings and Lord of lords" (Rev 19:16). But that passage from Acts 2, brothers and sisters, relates far, far more than simply the notion that God gives authority to Jesus/Yahshua of Nazareth. For the One who receives this total authority over every creature of heaven and earth,so, over angels and demons and people and winds!- is none other than the Son of God, Yahweh! In fact, it's exactly because He is Son of God, Yahweh, that this total authority is given to Him! Kurios He is, Master and Owner, because He is Kurios, Yahweh. And that identity in turn determines how He carries out His function as King of kings and Lord of lords; He rules today as God of the covenant. What He does in governing world history, what He does in governing the weather, what He does in governing the ups and downs of the stock market is all determined by His identity as Kurios, as Yahweh, as God of the covenant.

HEAR O'ISRAEL ... YAHWEH IS ONE
I. Yahweh is one
A. "Sh'ma Y'srael, Yahweh Elohenu, Yahweh echod." (Translation): "Hear O'Israel: Yahweh our Mighty
One; Yahweh is One." (Deut. 6:4)
1. The most ancient and basic of all creeds.
a. Declares who our Mighty One is.
b. Thereby, declares that His name is "Yahweh."
c. It also declares His oneness - that He alone is Elohim.
(1) The opposite of polytheism (such as Baalism in which one name was used to refer to any
one of, or all of, a number of deities).
(2) Thus it also defines the nature of Yahweh. He is not a group, or a family, of deities. He is
not a number of individual deities.
[3] The oneness of Yahweh is re-emphasized by His prophets & apostles, and by Yahshua Himself.
a. Prophets: Isa. 44:6,8; 45:18,21,22; Zech. 14:9
b. Apostles: Paul, I Cor. 8:4-6; 1 Tim. 2:5; James, Jms. 2:19; 4:12
c. Yahshua: Mark 12:29
B. Prono uns used of, about, and by Yahweh.
1. That Yahweh is not two or more individuals - not some kind of group or family of persons - but a
single individual or person is seen by the pronouns and verbs He uses when speaking to those outside
Himself. It is also seen by the pronouns and verbs used by the apostles and prophets when speaking
about Him. It is always "I am Yahweh,' never "We areYahweh" when speaking of Himself to others. It
is always "He is Yahweh," never 'They are Yahweh" when He is spoken of by the apostles and prophets.
2. However, when speaking to Himself, or within Himself, He does use the plural pronoun "us:"
Gen 1:26 (yet note 27); and possibly 11: 7
3. Also, although the singular pronouns are always used when speaking of Him, nevertheless, He is at
times spoken of as though He were more than one individual.
a. Gen. 19:24 (Yahweh sends fire from Yahweh out of heaven.)
b. Zech 3:2 (Yahweh rebukes in the name of Yahweh.)
C. Can Yahweh be seen?
1. The scriptures state that Yahweh has never been seen and cannot be seen. John 1: 18 (Greek says,
"no one has seen" Yahweh). Also see 1 Tim. 6:16.
2. Yet, He is also spoken of as being, or having been, seen.
a. By Moses & Aaron, Nadab & Abihu, and 70 elders of Israel. Ex. 24:9-1 1
b. By Isaiah. Isa. 6:1
c. By Angels. Matt. 18:10
D. Thus, Yahweh is represented in the scripture as being only one, and as being the only true Mighty One.
Yet He is sometimes given the appearance of being more than one. Also, the Bible says He cannot be
seen. Yet it also records that He has been seen. What, then, is the explanation of these paradoxes, or
seeming contradictions?
II. Explanation of Paradoxes
A. Infinity
1. Yahweh is infinite. (I Kings 8:27)
2. The universe does not contain Yahweh, but is in Him. (Acts 17:28; Col. 1: 17)
3. Infinity cannot be seen. (Infinity has no outline, no lines of demarcation.) Therefore, Yahweh as the
Infinite One (i.e., in His infinity) cannot be seen.
4. As the Infinite Source of all things He cannot be seen by anyone.
5. This is why it says in John 1: 18 (in Greek), "None have seen Yahweh at any time", and in I Tim.
6:16 "whom no man has seen nor can see" (i.e., in the full essence of His being).
B. Image/Expression/Word
1. However, although as the Infinite One, Yahweh, cannot be seen, yet out of Himself Yahweh's own Eternal Life has
been eternally birthed, or emanated, as the perfect image or expression of Himself as He relates to His
creation. In other words, we can say that Yahweh, the Infinite Invisible Source of All Things, has
Himself eternally come forth, shined forth, as an uncreated spirit being, in a form that is visible to His
created spirit beings. It is the perfect Manifestation2 (the Perfect Living Image) of what Yahweh is as
He relates to His universe of created spirit beings - angels, seraphim, cherubim, etc. Yet there is no
separation between the Infinite One and that spirit being that is the continual outflowing, or birthing
forth, of His own substance in a spirit form visible to other, created, spirit beings.
a. In Hebrew this living manifestation of Yahweh is called the Dabar3 (called "the Memra" by
some), and in Greek He is called "the Logos". Both terms in English mean "the Word" or "the
Expression."
b. Being that which Yahweh sends forth continuously of His own substance, the Dabar, or Word of
Yahweh, is both Yahweh Himself (His own Eternal Life substance) and, at the same time, that which
is with Him (as His Word, or Expression of Him). As the very Eternal Life of Yahweh, this
Expression of Yahweh has thus always existed with Yahweh.
c. John 1: 1 expresses it this way: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh
(or Elohim) and the Word was Yahweh (or Elohim)".
2. The best illustration of this that I know of is one from nature. It is the sun of our solar system.
a. Whatever the sun is, we know it by its glory or splendor that bursts forth from it to our eyes (the
image that it produces of itself by the light that it sends forth). And we know it by the warmth we
experience from the energy that comes with and in the light.
b. So it is, that Yahweh, the Infinite One, is known by the glory which He manifests of Himself (the
living Word which in the course of time became Yahshua the Messiah). And we know Him by the
totally invisible power of His life (the Holy Spirit) which operates in, through, and along with that
glory.
c. You cannot separate the sun, whatever that created mass in the sky is, from the light that shines
out of it (and the energy power that comes in and with that light). Nor you can separate the light and
power that is coming out of it from the sun that is the continual source of that outflowing light and
power.
4
(1) The sun, whatever it is, is the continual supply of that which is its glory (its outshining light)
and of its accompanying energy output. All three - the sun, its light, and its energy - are
distinguishable by definition, and yet integrally, inseparably, one. Not one exists without the
other existing.
(2) So also, though in an infinitely greater way, Yahweh and His Word, which is His living
image and glory (now made flesh in Yahshua), and His felt or experienced, invisible, but
manifest, presence (the Holy Spirit) are distinguishable by definition, and yet are integrally,
inseparably, One Elohim.
C. In Summary
1. Thus, Yahweh exists not as two or three totally separate individuals, or personages, but as One
Eternal Person or Being who is Himself Infinite. Yet He manifests Himself by the continuous
outflowing of Himself, i.e., of His own Eternal Life, in a spirit form (Greek "morphe" - Phil. 2:6) which
is visible to other spirit beings as the "Word" or "Expression" of Yahweh. He is also manifested by a
Presence of Power that is generally not seen at all, but is experienced (by being felt, or by being
expressed in acts of His power or might) as the Holy Spirit. Each, the Infinite, the Word, and the Spirit
dwell integrally in the other even as the sun is in its rays and energy and its rays and energy are in the
sun..
2. So outside Himself He is always spoken of as being One, and only One. Thus He Himself and the
holy prophets and apostles speak of Him with singular pronouns. Yet within Himself He is a complex,
compound Being who is triune in nature. Within His triune nature He can and does communicate with
Himself, just as He would if He were three separate being. However, He is not three separate beings,
but One Eternal, Infinite Being, who exists simultaneously in three different modes. He is One Elohim
who manifests Himself by His living Word and by His living Spirit.
3. Consider these scriptures in relation to this: Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:3; I John 1:1,2 compared with 5:20;
John 14:16-23; 16:13-15; Rom. 8:26,27
III. The cause of confusion.
A. The confusion comes when people misunderstand the facts about the man Yahshua the Messiah, who is
the Word of Yahweh made flesh (John 1:14), and of whom Col. 2:9 speaks when its says, "For in Him
dwells all the fullness of the Divinity bodily."
B. We have to use clear understanding and careful analysis when we read John1: 14 which says, "And the
Word was made flesh", and the related verses that tell of Yahshua's conception in the virgin womb of
Miriam (Mary): Matt. 1:20 and Luke 1:31-35 (esp. 35).
C. Since Yahshua the Messiah is spoken of as having come down from heaven (John 6:51 and elsewhere),
and since He is spoken of as the Eternal Life which was with the Father and was made manifest unto us (I
John 1:1,2), this question needs to be asked: "When the Glory, Expression, or Eternal Life of Yahweh ('the
Word') became flesh, as a fetus in the womb of Mary (and consequently as the newborn child Yahshua of
Nazareth), was all of Yahweh's Glory, all His Expression, all His Word, or, all His Eternal Life contained only in the womb of Miriam (and, then, after birth, in the child that was born) in total quantity, or just in
total quality?".

Introduction

Over the last ten years that the Power Latent In Man SHOW has been on cable, we have done 12 shows on various aspects of the Sacred and Holy Name of our Heavenly Father and His Son. The Power Latent In Man SHOW was one of the first shows (beginning in December 1990, on Chicago Access cable) to introduce the true and sacred name Yahweh and His Son Yahshua and uses them on a regular basis. The PLIM REPORT has also published over 6 articles on the true name and they are on the public side of our website. See http://www.plim.org/truename.html.

Today many Christians and others assume that the Greek name Jesus was the original name of the Savior who was Hebrew. If one does the research, one finds out that it is impossible for the Saviors name to be Jesus.

What is the intent of this article?

The intent of this article is to investigate the origin of the Greek name Jesus and its erroneous transliteration of the Hebrew name of our Savior Yahshua. Our Saviours Name in Hebrew is (read from right to left). The English name "Jesus," which later employed the letter "J," is a derivation from Greek "Iesous" and the Latin "Iesus" version.

This name "Jesus" commonly used in Christianity today did not exist and would not be spelled with the letter "J" until about 500 years ago. This article will also discuss the grammatical errors involved in the transliteration of Yahshua into Greek and Latin, which radically changed the form of Yahshuas name.

Another error that will be discussed in this article is that "Yahshuas name was not known to most translators at the time. Jewish Masoretic priests, around the 6th century A.D., created the name Jesus by changing the vowel point from the letter "a" to "e" in the Tetragrammaton YHWH. This resulted in changing the pronunciation from Yah to Yeh.

The priests continued the tradition, which was in effect at the time of the Messiah, of teaching the people that the name "Yahweh" was too sacred to pronounce, and to speak this name was blasphemy and punishable by death. Most people and lower level priests were initially taught to say "Adonai" when they saw the name "Yahweh" or the tetragrammaton written.

Does the Letter "J" exist in Hebrew, Latin or Greek?

The answer to this question is no. In fact, there was no letter J in any language prior to the 14th century in England. The letter did not become widely used until the 17th century.

The Encyclopedia Americana contains the following quote on the J: "The form of J was unknown in any alphabet until the 14th century. Either symbol (J,I) used initially generally had the consonantal sound of Y as in year. Gradually, the two symbols (J,l) were differentiated, the J usually acquiring consonantal force and thus becoming regarded as a consonant, and the I becoming a vowel.

It was not until 1630 that the differentiation became general in England." Note in the original 1611 version of the King James Version of the Bible there was no "J" letter in this Bible for because it did not exist. James was spelled Iames. Jesus was spelled Iesous.

In the Hebrew alphabet there is no J letter or sound and it is shown follow: Read form right to left."

The Greek alphabet shows that there is no letter J or sound.

Now the Oxford English Dictionary shows the derivation of the name "Jesus" as follow: "In ancient Latin Jesus is spelled Iesus, in ancient Greek (I-ee-sous), ad. late Heb. or Aramaic yeshua, Jeshua, for the earlier yhoshua, Jehoshua or Joshua (explained as Jah (or Jahveh) is salvation: cf. yshuah salvation, deliverance, and Matt. 1.21"

Here we see that in the ancient Latin and Greek languages "Jesus" was spelled with the letter "I" for there was no "J" in either of these languages. In Hebrew we know there is no J letter. So Jesus was originally spelled Yeshua, and yhoshua. Note: Here the Messiahs name was spelled in Hebrew two different ways due to the tradition of the Masoretic priests. They did not want to pronounce the sacred part of Yahwehs name, so they changed the Yah, to Yeh, which will be discussed later in this article.

Websters New World Dictionary confirms the Oxford World Dictionary, but it shows the derivation of "Jesus" correctly transliterated in Latin, Greek, and Hebrew using the letters "I" and "Y," showing that there was no J used in these original languages when the scriptures were translated into them.

"In Late Latin Jesus was original spelled Iesus; In Greek it was spelled Ièsous; and in ancient Hebrew spelled "yÈshÙa," which is a contraction of yehÖshÙa (Joshua), help of Jehovah < yÀh, Jehovah + hÖshïa, to help."

Did the angels speak in Hebrew?

In the so-called New Testament of the Bible there were two instances where an angel and the spirit form of the Messiah appeared to humans and spoke to them in Hebrew. First, Gabriel spoke to Mary regarding her unborn son. Since Mary was Hebrew of the tribe of Judah (Lk. 1:27), Gabriel had to communicate to her in the Hebrew tongue, her native language, not Chinese or Greek, for she would not have been able to understand him. "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with Elohim (God). And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS (Luke 1:30-31)." As shown in the Hebrew alphabet, there is no J in Hebrew (see alphabet on p. . So the question is what did the angel Gabriel say that the baby would be named? It was impossible for him to say Jesus because Jesus is Greek for Yahshua.

In another instance, the Messiah appeared in spirit form and in a vision, to the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-7) and spoke in Hebrew. Paul described what happened. "And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 26:14)."

Paul asked this spirit, "Who art thou, Lord (Acts 26:15)?" The Messiah replied, "I am Jesus [in the King James Bible and most English Bibles] whom thou persecutest."

One thing is clear. The Messiah knows His name and as was stated and repeated throughout this article it is impossible for him to have said Jesus as it is translated since Yahshua spoke to Paul in the Hebrew tongue.

Pontius Pilate wrote the name of the Messiah in Greek, Hebrew and Latin above His head on the cross when the Messiah was crucified. Luke wrote the following: " an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS (Lk 23:38-39)."

Traditionally, most crucifixes (especially Roman Catholic) have the Latin initials of the Messiah as follows "INRI," which means "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex, Iudaeorum". [Note: there is no letter J (for it did not exist at this time.) This is translated into English and means "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."]

The French philosopher, historian, and religious scholar Ernest Renan stated in his book, The Life of Jesus, that the Savior was never called Jesus in His lifetime. Renan based his conclusion on his archaeological trips to the Holy Land in searching for inspiration and materials on the Savior.

What is the derivation of the name "Jesus"?

Any good dictionary will show the derivation or the history of the translation of Jesus through the various languages. All agree that the word "Jesus is a transcription or a copy of the Greek name which is a derivation of the Hebrew Ieshoua, a common Jewish name" according to the book The Names and Titles of Jesus by Leopold Sabourin, S.J.

Is there an explanation of the error Yeh from Yah?

Now that it is clear that the Messiahs name was not spelled with the letter J, there is another error that must be addressed. Many misspell the Messiah as "yÈshÙa," (which is a contraction for "yehÖshÙa."). The error is that it does not have the "Yah" part of the Fathers name in the translation.

In the King James Version of the Bible, Psalm 68:4 clearly reveals that the shortened form of the Fathers name is "Jah." King David writes: "Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name JAH" Since there is no j in Hebrew then "Jah" should be spelled Yah or Iah. So yehÖshÙa should be spelled yahÖshÙa.

The error of changing Yah to Yeh is due to the manmade tradition of the Jewish priests. Their reverence for the holy name caused them to believe that it was too sacred to pronounce. So they changed the vowel points from a to e in the Tetragrammaton YHWH. This changes the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton. The letter "a" was the correct vowel to be inserted between the YH obtaining YaH. This is short form of the sacred Name is in Yahshua.

To prevent this pronunciation, the priests changed the vowel points from an "a" to the "e" obtaining YeH. This is how the letter "e" came to be in the Saviors name "Jesus," resulting today in the Jews spelling his name YEHshua.

Now the same error is explained in the Biblesofts Strongs New Exhaustive Strongs Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. It spelled Yahshuas name with the letter e Yehowshuwa (yeh-ho-shoo-ah); or Yehowshu a (yeh-ho-shoo-ah); from OT:3068 and OT:3467 OT:3091; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (i.e. Joshua), the Jewish leader: -Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Now the ancient Greek use their alphabet to write and pronounce the "IE" as the shortened form of Yahwehs name "Yah."

What is the Importance of "ous" or "us" in Jesus name?

Now the "ua" ending in Yahshuas name in Hebrew when transliterated into Greek is feminine singular, which presents a problem. Thus, it necessitates a change when transliterate into Greek (so the reader in Greek could determine the gender of this name).

What most people do not understand is the ending "us" of Jesus name was setup to denote this in the transliteration into Greek and Latin. The "ous" and the "us" ending in the Greek name "Iesous" and the Latin name "Iesus," respectively, denote the masculine singular gender in Greek and Latin respectively.

In most languages there are endings that denote gender as well as endings that denote singular or plural. (For example, in English we just add the letter s to make a noun plural as in boys or girls. In Spanish gender is denoted by the last vowel of the word, such as chico-boy and chica-girl.)

Only the letters "Jes" in "Jesus name has any relationship to the Hebrew name Yahshua for the letters "us" denote gender.

This transliteration that observes Greek and Latin grammer further adds confusion to other errors in the transliteration of the name Yahshua. Latin and English had already seen the results of the Jewish Masoretic priests changing the vowel points.

Finally, it also should be noted that Greek has no "sh" sound as in Yahshua Hebrew name. To denote this "sh" Hebrew sound in the Greek, the letter "s" is used.

Thus, this article has examined all five of the letters in "Jesus" name and showed their derivation from Hebrew, Greek Latin and English.

Hiding the Name of Yahweh

The Hiding Of Yahweh's Name

The Masorites, Hebrew scribes during the Middle Ages, who added the vowel points to the accepted Hebrew text, did not remove Yahweh's Name from the scriptures. They did, however, point the four letter Name of Yahweh with the vowel marks of the titles Elohim or Adonai. However, when the scriptures were translated into Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and later on, English, Lord was substituted for the Name Yahweh.

Unger's Bible Dictionary, on page 665, says:

Lord (Hebrew, Adon), an early word denoting ownership; hence, absolute control. It is not properly a divine title. The Jews, out of a superstitious reverence for the Name Yahweh, always, in reading, pronounce Adonai (lord) whereYahweh is written.

Smith's Bible Dictionary, 1872 Edition, states the following:

The substitution of the word Lord is most (sad); for, while it in no way represents the meaning of the Sacred Name, the mind has constantly to guard against a confusion with its lower uses, and, above all, the direct personal hearing of the Name on the revelation of YAHWEH...is injuriously out of sight.

Barring the Name of Yahweh

Barring Yahweh
The Vatican gives orders to excise the name from worship. Do Protestants agree?
Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra | posted 9/11/2008 10:57AM

Observant Jews have traditionally not used the name Yahweh, refusing to pronounce the so-called proper name of God out of respect, or to be sure they do not misuse it. Now neither will Roman Catholics, at least in their worship services.

"In recent years the practice has crept in of pronouncing the God of Israel's proper name," said a June letter from the Vatican. "As an expression of the infinite greatness and majesty of God, it was held to be unpronounceable and hence was replaced during the reading of sacred Scripture by means of the use of an alternate name: Adonai, which means 'Lord.'" In August, U.S. bishops were directed to remove Yahweh from songs and prayers.

Protestants should be following their lead, said Carol Bechtel, professor of Old Testament at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan. "It's always left me baffled and perplexed and embarrassed that we sprinkle our hymns with that name," she said. "Whether or not there are Jewish brothers and sisters in earshot, the most obvious reason to avoid using the proper and more personal name of God in the Old Testament is simply respect for God."

While refusing to write or say Yahweh aloud is a long-standing Jewish tradition, the Bible does not forbid its pronunciation.

"I don't have an issue with the use of that word in the worship context," said Mike Harland, director of the Southern Baptist Convention's LifeWay Worship, which released the new Baptist Hymnal in August. "It's a transliteration of one of the names of God. It wouldn't be off-putting to me at all."

While the Baptist Hymnal does not use Yahweh (except in one Scripture reading), its omission was not a conscious decision, Harland said. The discussion has not surfaced in the SBC and is not likely to, he said.

Other evangelicals have been debating not only the word Yahweh but also Jehovah, said John Witvliet, director of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. The two words are both phonetic transliterations of the four-consonant name (biblical Hebrew normally has no vowels). Several Bible translations, including the King James Version, use Jehovah as an occasional way of rendering the unspeakable name of God.

Both Yahweh and Jehovah have been removed from the Christian Reformed Church's Psalter Hymnal, turning "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah" into "Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer."

The Celebration Hymnal, released by Word Music, does not use Yahweh but does use Jehovah, said Mark McClure, director of choral and instrumental products at Word Music. The publisher does not have any objection to either word, and a few of its praise and worship releases do use Yahweh, he said.

"We haven't received any objection or negative feedback from [our customers]," he said, likely because of the word's infrequent appearance. Yahweh's rare use may be because it's considered an Old Testament name, and evangelicals' emphasis is more often on the New Testament, McClure said.

Yahweh is not a common word in the English vernacular, and more difficult to set to music than Lord or God, said Michael Cymbala at GIA Publishing, a major publisher of Catholic hymnals. Only about a half-dozen songs would need to be changed in Catholic hymnals, he said.

Protestantism has long traditions of both using and avoiding the name Yahweh, according to Witvliet. "Some people said using Yahweh emphasized for them the transcendence of God, which you might say is precisely the goal of not saying the term."

What is His Name?

WHAT IS HIS NAME?

(Surely you know it!)

A very interesting riddle is found in Proverbs Chapter 30, Verse 4.

Who hath gone up to the heavens and come down?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who hath bound the waters in a garment?
Who hath established all the ends of the earth?
What is His Name,
And what is His Son's Name,1
If you know it?
The Scriptures (ISR-Institute For Scripture Research)

As you ponder the above riddle, let me ask you another question.

When the Messiah walked the face of the earth nearly 2000 years ago, was His Name, Jesus, and did His family, friends, and disciples all call Him Jesus?

Most Christians will readily respond with the answer, "Well, Yes! Of course!" To which I gently reply, "I'm sorry, but that is simply not the case." I continued to inform the uninformed that the LETTER "J" did NOT exist in all of history until late in the 17th Century A.D. To which I get various answers with much disbelief. But the fact is, that any good dictionary or encyclopedia will provide you with that information.

The letter J has a history that is linked with the history of the letter I. The Romans and their European successors used I both for the vocalic i and for the consonantal y (as in the English word yet). The English letter J did not come into existence until the end of medieval times, when scribes began to use a tailed form of i, with or without the dot, next to the short form of i (1). When printing was invented, the tailed form of i (2) was often used for an initial i, which is usually consonantal. Not until the 17th century, however, was the distinction between J or j as a consonant and I or i as a vowel fully established.2

OK, so now we have it established that the letter "J" came into existence in the 17th Century so I ask again, "What was the Messiah's NAME when He walked the face of the earth?"

For that matter, "What is the Name of Almighty God?" If you say "Jehovah", I have to ask you to look at the first letter again. Doesn't Jehovah start with a "J" as well? OK, so it is not Jehovah! Then what? I'm sure your Pastor, or your Priest, or your Rabbi, or your Sunday School Teacher or your Bible Camp Counselor or your College Professor taught you what the TRUE NAME OF YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER was, RIGHT?

Sadly, so terribly sadly, very few Christians know the true NAME of the ONE they call their Heavenly Father. In fact, most Christians were baptized in the NAME OF THE FATHER, the NAME OF THE SON, and the Holy Spirit during water baptism and they still have never known either the Father's or the Son's Name.

In John 5:43 the Messiah stated, "I have come in My Father's Name and ye received me not..." There is a clue that the Son's Name is in, and of, the Father's Name.

There are numerous places in Scripture where it states "The LORD is His Name." But is the LORD really HIS NAME? If you research the Bible Prefaces of various translations, you will find that they will admit that the true Name of the Father has been replace with the LORD, all in capital letters to indicate where the true name was taken out.

Psalm 68:4 is the ONLY place in the King James translation that gives a close rendition of the short poetic form of the Father's Name where it states,

"Sing unto God, sing praises to His Name: extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His Name JAH, and rejoice before Him."

Then there are some versions that use the entire false name of JEHOVAH. (See Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; Isaiah 26:4.)

Well, we now have another clue but remember, there was no letter "J" until less than 500 years ago. Here the letter "J" replaced the letter "Y". So YAH is His Name. Have you ever said the word "Hallelujah"? Hummm.... Well, do you say "hallelu- Jaw!" or do you say "Hallelu - Yah"? Now you know the correct pronunciation of the first part of the TRUE NAME of our Heavenly Father, our Mighty One, our Elohim.

HIS NAME IS YAHWEH In the Hebrew language of today it is recognized as .

For additional proof that His Name is Yahweh, discover how His Name is written on the very breath we breathe.

Let me drop a bombshell on you to show you how Satan has deliberately worked very hard to deceive you and to keep you from knowing the TRUE NAME of YAHWEH. Whenever you see the words "the LORD" with LORD being in all Capital Letters, the true Name, YAHWEH has been supplanted3. (See endnote for definition). At first impulse, you might think or say to yourself "this might have happened just a few rare times, but not to often, I'm sure". The TRUTH of the matter is, the TRUE NAME of YAHWEH has been supplanted nearly 7000 times (yes nearly SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES) in all of Scripture. You ought to be shocked! Satan has done a very good job of keeping us from getting to know our Father's Name and from CALLING UPON HIS NAME. Don't you think that if the Name of Yahweh was originally in the Scriptures nearly 7000 times that it WAS IMPORTANT TO KNOW IT? That is very conclusive to me and ought to be to you as well.

Now you know the rest of the story. But will you call upon the Name of YAHWEH now, or will you still call Him God? God is not His Name! God, Gad, Gud, are all names of other "mighty ones", Read Come Out Of Her My People for a clear a concise explanation of all the names of other pagan deities we use in our language. Exodus 23:13 says,

"And in all that I have said to you take heed. And make no mention of the name of other mighty ones, let it not be heard from your mouth."

Zephaniah 3:9 says,

"For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call upon the Name of , to serve Him with one shoulder." (Emphasis mine)

Well, we've sort of gotten side tracked here so lets get back on point. We know the Father's Name is YAHWEH so what about the son. Since there was no letter "J", and the Father's True Name started with a "Y" and the Son came in His Father's Name, it is fair to say that the Son's Name will also start with a "Y"; in fact, His Name starts with "YAH" just like His Father's according to John 5:43 quoted above.

The second and last syllable of the Son's Name is "shua", in Hebrew meaing "saves, salvation". So the Son's true Hebrew Name as Miryam (Mary) was instructed by the angel Gabri'el to give to the Messiah was Yahshua meaning "Yahweh Saves" or "Yahweh is Salvation". In Luke 1:31, the KJV says Mary was to call His Name JESUS, so since we now know that there was no JESUS name 2000 years ago, we have to understand that JESUS is a transliteration (and a very poor one) of the true Hebrew Name, YAHSHUA. You cannot find "jesus" in YAHWEH. But you CAN FIND YAHshua in YAHweh.

Yahweh, the Father sent His Son Yahshua as the Messenger to the Peoples of the Earth. The "NAME of the MESSENGER" was the MESSAGE. Yah-shua, Yah Saves.

So did Jesus walk the face of the Earth 2000 years ago? Certainly not! Is Jesus coming back again? No, but the Messiah, YAHSHUA is! Have you considered that the anti-messiah (a/k/a anti-christ) will reveal himself and claim to be "JESUS CHRIST" the son of "GOD". Will the TRUE MESSIAH, YAHSHUA come in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST saying I AM JESUS CHRIST? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Will He say "I am the Son of God?" Again, absolutely NOT! He will pronounce that He is the Son of Yahweh! Just because we are comfortable (by the error of tradition) calling the Messiah "Jesus" doesn't mean that His Yahweh given Name is "Jesus"! Think about it.

Just as you were given one NAME at birth by your parents who were inspired of Yahweh to give you that NAME, likewise, the Son of Yahweh has ONLY ONE TRUE NAME, YAHSHUA, and if you can say "Joshua" with a "J" you can say "YAHSHUA" with a "Y". We have taken the name JESUS to the whole world but that was not the Messiah's Name. We don't translate "Jesus" into a different name in Chinese or Russian, or French! No! We have erroneously taught all nations around the world how to say "JESUS". WHY DIDN'T WE TEACH THE WORLD THE TRUE NAME OF THE SON OF YAHWEH,

YAHSHUA

Satan has pulled the wool over the eyes of millions of Christians and we have assisted him and spread the deception to the rest of the world. Now is the time to REPENT of all our sins and of all our ignorance and plead to be shown other error and deception that lies within our being. We have been taught to be so careful to protect ourselves from deception so we are afraid to see with "eyes to see" and to listen with "ears to hear" and yet DECEPTION has been in us and has controlled us since the day of our birth.

"O , my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, "Our fathers have inherited only falsehood [lies], futility [vanity], and there is no value [profit] in them."6 Jeremiah 16:19 (ISR - bracket contents and emphasis mine)

Now is the day to call upon the Name of Yahweh and ask for forgiveness and accept the MESSENGER and the MESSAGE.

Hallelu-Yah! Hallelu-Yah! Praise you, Yah!

If there was no name "Jesus" 2000 years ago, was there the name "Christ" or "Christian" for that matter? Think about it. Is is proper to call yourself a Christian? That's for another study. It is time to,

"...Come out of her, my people lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. Because her sins have piled up to reach the heaven, and Elohim has remembered her unrighteousness." Rev. 18:4-5.

Please read the following verse. On its face, it sounds very understandable but look at the true meaning of some of the Hebrew words.

Bereshith (Genesis) 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. {Enos: Heb. Enosh} { to call ...: or, to call themselves by the name of the Lord}

We can now see the error of translators who apparently did not intend to present the whole truth of the matter in this verse. Here is how this verse should be understood. I do not portend to present this as the correct translation but rather the correct understanding.

Bereshith (Genesis) 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then was the Name of Yahweh being profaned and dishonored among men..

Certainly from the time of Adam and Howwah (Eve) they knew the Name of Yahweh and called upon His Name and the translators have given us the impression that it wasnt until after their 3rd son gave birth to Enos that men started using the Name of Yahweh. To the contrary, it was then that men started to profane and dishonor the Name of Yahweh.

The lying pen of the scribes certainly does mislead.

YermeYahu (Jeremiah) 8:8 How do ye say, We [are] wise, and the law of YaHWeH [is] with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he [it]; the pen of the scribes [is] in vain. {in vain made...: or, the false pen of the scribes worketh for falsehood}

Elijah and the Prophets of Baal

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Revealing Truth in the Story of
EliYah and the Prophets of Ba'al

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, let's bow our heads before our Heavenly Father with sincere hearts: "Our Precious Heavenly Father, we do ask for eyes to see and ears to hear that we might see with our eyes and hear with our ears and understand with our hearts that You are doing a mighty work and revealing much truth in these last days that we might bring you the offerings of praise. It is my personal request that you guide the hand on this pen and that nothing would be inscribed that does not reflect the truth of your precious word in accord with Prov. 30:6 and Rev. 22:19. We send up to you the offerings of praise and esteem to you forever. Hallelu-Yah! In your precious Son's set-apart Name, Yahshua. Amein."

In these, the last days, there have been uncovered some of the "keys" to understanding and truth. Many people have yet to realize that the most important "key" is recognizing, knowing and calling upon our Heavenly Father's Name. Notice I said NAME, singular, not plural. He has many titles and attributes but only one Name. In Zekar'Yah 14:9 (Zechariah) the Scriptures reveal "And YHWH shall be Sovereign over all the earth. In that day there shall be one YHWH and His Name One." Institute for Scripture Research Version (hereinafter referred to as ISR).

In First Melakim (1st Kings) Chapter 18 we find the story of EliYah (Elijah) and his "showdown" with the 450 Prophets of Baal. Up unto this point, EliYah had been hunted for far and wide by King Ahab because this man, EliYah, was really getting under the King's skin.

There are some amazing things about to be revealed in this passage. First, let me preface this by saying that Truth and Deception aren't that far apart from each other. I often liken Truth and Deception as parallel lines with Deception running about 4 feet to the left or right of Truth. If Truth is the Center Line of a 2 line highway (the straight and narrow way with destruction close at hand on either side) and you are walking or traveling only 4 feet to the left or 4 feet to the right of Truth, you are very soon to meet head on or be blindsided from behind with certain destruction. Our Messai'Yah (Messiah) said "I am the way, the truth and the life..." and we are to always stay at his feet as little children with big round eyes hanging on every word that proceeds out of His mouth. For therein alone is our Protection. When we attempt to protect ourselves under our own "knowledge" and "wisdom" we will fail miserably and suffer the consequences.

We can only receive the Protection of Our Heavenly Father (check our our study of Tehillim 91 (Psalms) "The 3 Prerequisites of its Promised Protections") if we remain under His constant watchful eye and always remain "tender" or "soft" enough [as clay in the Potter's hand) to know that when He speaks, it is ALWAYS Truth. It is when we believe "we are 'mature' enough to be on our own" that we get in trouble and get deceived. Therefore I must be extremely careful what I say here and that it is the revealed Truth for I am accountable for what I say and you are accountable for what you hear. All things must be "proven" and that is each our own responsibility.

As much as we want to believe that Truth and Deception are 180 degrees apart, they are not, and that is part of the deception right there.

Also, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to understand and ACCEPT THE FACT that our Heavenly Father's Real Name has been REMOVED FROM THE BIBLES and replaced with "The LORD". The only place you can find our Heavenly Father's Name in the modern Bibles (that is all the Bible's from the last 400 years since the "history of the King James") is in the Preface of the Bible. Now how many Preachers have every preached to you from the Preface of your Bibles? Probably has never happened to you right?

Here is an example right out of the Explanation of Format of the New Open Bible, King James Version.

"The covenant name of God in the Old Testament, represented by the Hebrew consonants, YHWH, is translated "LORD" or GOD" (using all capital letters as shown), as it has been throughout the history of the King James Bible." You can find a Link (at the end of this study) to a comprehensive study of other Bible Prefaces and how and why they REMOVED YHWH's NAME. It is very telling.

This revelation, when put in proper perspective will change the way you look and read the Scriptures from now on. If it doesn't, you will remain in darkness straining to see, as if in a fog to follow the "white center line" beneath your feet.

This will also dispel one of our most prevalent misconceptions of this passage and that is that we want to believe that EliYah was the equivalent to one of our most prominent and highly visible Christian evangelists of our day and the Prophets of Baal were some brand of other pagan religion such as Christians might refer to as Eastern Religions or any of the other religions not associated with true Christianity. Nothing could be further from the truth. You will see.

Let's examine this amazing story of EliYah (Elijah) now in First Kings (First Melakim) 18:17-40 using the normal King James Version (from the Seedmaster Computer program) that you are familiar with so you get the overview of that passage prior to seeing revealed truth.

17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, [Art] thou he that troubleth Israel?

18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

19 Now therefore send, [and] gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.

20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God, follow him: but if Baal, [then] follow him. And the people answered him not a word. {opinions: or, thoughts?}

22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, [even] I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets [are] four hundred and fifty men.

23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay [it] on wood, and put no fire [under]: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay [it] on wood, and put no fire [under]:

24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. {It is...: Heb. The word is good}

25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress [it] first; for ye [are] many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire [under].

26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed [it], and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But [there was] no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. {hear: or, answer} {answered: or, heard} {leaped...: or, leaped up and down at the altar}

27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he [is] a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, [or] peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. {aloud: Heb. with a great voice} {he is talking: or, he meditateth} {is pursuing: Heb. hath a pursuit}

28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. {the blood...: Heb. poured out blood upon them}

29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the [time] of the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that [there was] neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded. {offering: Heb. ascending} {that regarded: Heb. attention}

30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD [that was] broken down.

31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:

32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid [him] on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour [it] on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

34 And he said, Do [it] the second time. And they did [it] the second time. And he said, Do [it] the third time. And they did [it] the third time.

35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. {ran: Heb. went}

36 And it came to pass at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou [art] God in Israel, and [that] I [am] thy servant, and [that] I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou [art] the LORD God, and [that] thou hast turned their heart back again.

38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that [was] in the trench.

39 And when all the people saw [it], they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he [is] the God; the LORD, he [is] the God.

40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

That is an awesome story that many of us have been told or read from at a very early age. But reading it the way the translators have served it to you on a silver platter IS very misleading. There is something much deeper in here that has not been revealed to you and how a large portion of this scripture passage is a mirror image to this very day we live in for you will soon see that the "Prophets of Ba'al" (including Ba'al worship) are still in existence all around you and I each and every day.

Brace yourself, this could make you very angry or uncomfortable at least when it is revealed to you just how close to home this really comes.

Now we need to digress to a short passage in Shemoth (Exodus) 3:13-15 where Moses is asking our Heavenly Father, the Elohim (God) of Israel what he is to say the children of Israel (ISR Version):

13. ...and they say to (ask of) me, "What is His Name?" what shall I say to them?"

14. And Elohim said to Mosheh (Moses), "I am that which I am." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra'el, "I am has sent me to you."

15. And Elohim said further to Mosheh, "Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra'el, "YHWH Elohim ... This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations."

Here we see that Yahweh (YHWH) indirectly answered Mosheh's question of "whom shall I say has sent me" with "I am that which I am" and "I am has sent me to you".

What our Heavenly Father told Mosheh was the MEANING OF HIS NAME first before He actually told him His Name! Yes, many people have never heard the Name, Yahweh (YHWH), and did/do not know the MEANING OF HIS NAME. Yahweh means "I am - I exist - I will be". "I will be what I will be". "I will be a burning bush", "I will be a pillar of fire by night", "I will be a cloud by day", "I will be a mighty rushing wind", etc. etc.

Yahweh was demonstrating that the MEANING of NAMES is extremely important and that He wanted His people to know what His Name meant before He actually revealed His One Name!

And in Shemoth 6:2 His One Name is reiterated again. "And Elohim spoke to Mosheh and said to him, "I am YHWH."

6:3 says "...And by my Name, YHWH, was I not known to them?" (See the question mark there?)

6:6 says "Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra'el, I am YHWH"

See also verses 7, 8, 29.

Shemoth 15:3 says "YHWH is a man of battle, YHWH is His Name."

The point being elaborated here is of extreme importance. NAMES are IMPORTANT and the MEANINGS of NAMES are equally IMPORTANT. If you take the modern Bible versions (over the last 400 plus years) you will see that "the LORD" could not possibly be our Heavenly Father's Name. It should have never been added to (Prov. 30:6) neither anything taken away (Rev. 22:19). REMOVING the One True Name of YHWH and ADDING "the LORD" is an abomination and judgment will result accordingly to His purpose.

Now we might have struck a nerve here and you might not want to proceed with the truth of the EliYah passage above.

YHWH does not mean "the LORD" it means "I am - I exist".

Also, there are two Hebrew words that do have a meaning of "lord". They are:

1) Adonai meaning "lord, master" as in a TITLE and,

2) Ba'al meaning "LORD" as in a PROPER NAME. (See any good dictionary and look up Baal. It means "LORD", plain and simple. When you say "LORD" outloud you cannot distinguish between all capital letters or all small letter, it hears the same in your ears and YHWH's ears.

Are you ready now for the truth of First Melakim 18?

Below you will find the same passage of First Melakim 18 with the meaning of the name of Ba'al in place of Ba'al. When you see this, you will recognize that this passage hits as close to home as any passage can get.

The following should prove to you that the people who followed the Prophets of Ba'al were a very religious people and might very well resemble many whom call themselves Christians today.

1) They BELIEVED in the One True Elohim (God).

2) They BELIEVED He would answer their prayers or they would not have said in Verse 24 "The word is good.".

3) They BELIEVED that the One True LORD God would accept their offering/sacrifice of the bull on the altar they built. He had obviously accepted their offerings before or they would have been reluctant and unwilling to attempt an unproven effort. They were, after all, Israelites, right? Of course!

4) They BELIEVED with all their hearts that The LORD (Ba'al) knew their hearts and that He would accept them just the way they were in their religious state of activities and affairs.

More on this later.

Also remember, these Scriptures were ORIGINALLY WRITTEN in HEBREW not Greek or Latin or English. When they spoke in Hebrew and "called upon the name of the LORD", they called and said the Hebrew word "Ba'al" (Hebrew meaning "Lord"). Where the English version have replaced the Hebrew Tetragrammaton YHWH (Yahweh's Name) with "LORD" or "GOD", here is the subtlety of deception and the clouding of the Truth. This REPLACEMENT did not just happen a few times; try 6823 times!!! Your King James Version, your NIV, or any of the other "modern non-restored name versions" should have YHWH in place of "the LORD" and you should at least know that where you read "Ba'al" in any version it means "the LORD" to the Hebrew people in the Hebrew language. You are about to see why EliYah was so HATED by King Ahab and the prophets of Ba'al and the people who followed the prophets of Ba'al. (See also YirmeYahu (Jeremiah) 23:26-27 and Hoshea 2:16-17).

Now, let's RE-EXAMINE the amazing story of EliYah now in First Melakim (Kings) 18:17-40:

17. And it came to be, when Ahab saw Eliyahu, that Ahab said to him, "Is that you, 0 disturber of Yisra'el?"

18. And he answered, "I have not disturbed Yisra'el, but you and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commands of YHWH, and you have followed the ways of the Lord."

19. "And now, send and gather all Yisra'el to me on Mount Karmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets [preachers] of the Lord, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah [Easter priests], who eat at Izabel's (Jezebel's) table."

20. Ahab then sent for all the children of Yisra'el, and gathered the prophets on Mount Karmel.

21. And EliYahu came to all the people and said, "How long would you keep hopping between two opinions? If YHWH is Elohim, follow Him; and if the Lord, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.

22.And Eliyahu said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of YHWH, but the prophets [preachers] of the Lord are four hundred and fifty men."

23. "Now let them give us two bulls. And let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but set no fire. And I, I prepare the other bull, and shall lay it on the wood, but set no fire."

24."And you shall call on the name of your mighty one [the Lord], and I, I call on the Name of YHWH. And the Elohim who answers by fire, His is Elohim." So all the people answered and said, "The word is good." [they were in total agreement]

25. And Eliyahu said to the prophets [preachers] of the Lord, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many. And call on the name of your mighty one, but set no fire."

26. So they took the bull which was given them, and prepared it, and called upon the name of the Lord from morning even until noon, saying, "O Lord, answer us!" But there was no voice and no one answered. And they leaped about the altar which they had made.

27. And it came to be at noon, that Eliyahu taunted them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a mighty one; he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or it could be that he is asleep and has to be awakened!"

28. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves, according to their ruling, with knives and spears, until the blood gushed out on them.

29. And it came to be when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the bringing of the evening offering. But there was no voice and no one answered, and no one paying attention.

30. Then Eliyahu said to all the people, "Come closer to me." And all the people came closer to him. And he repaired the altar of YHWH that was broken down.

31. And Eliyahu took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Ya'aqob (Jacob), to whom the word of YHWH had come, saying, "Yisra'el is your name."

32. And with the stones he built an altar in the Name of YHWH. And he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs [about 5 gallons] of seed.

33. And he arranged the wood, and cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood."

34. Then he said, "Do it a second time," and they did it a second time. And he said, "do it a third time," and they did it a third time.

35. And the water flowed around the altar, and he filled the trench with water, too.

36. And it came to be, at the time of the bringing of the evening offering, that Eliyahu the prophet came near and said, "YHWH Elohim of Abraham, Yitshaq (Isaac), and Yisra'el, let it be known today: You are the Elohim in Israel, and I Your servant, have done all these matters by Your word.

37. "Answer me, O YHWH, answer me, and let this people know that You are YHWH Elohim, and You shall turn their hearts back to You again."

38. Then the fire of YHWH fell and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.

39. And all the people saw, and fell on their faces, and said, "YHWH, He is the Elohim! YHWH, He is the Elohim!"

40. And Eliyahu said to them, "Seize the prophets [preachers] of the Lord! Do not let them escape!" So they seized them, and Eliyahu brought them down to the wadi Qishon and slaughtered them there.

Oh, my friends, do you see? The prophets of Ba'al were none other than the preachers of our Christian churches/denominations who have fallen away from COMMANDS of YHWH. They teach and preach a gospel of lawlessness and that the wages of sin is grace.

Notice in Verse 29 "that they prophesied until the time of the bringing of the evening offering". In other words, the prophets of the LORD BELIEVED in OFFERINGS but rejected THE APPOINTED TIME to submit the offering.

Notice in Verse 36. "And it came to be, at the time of the bringing of the evening offering,". Eliyah presented his offering AT THE APPOINTED TIME!!!

Do you know YHWH's APPOINTED TIMES? Do you know and understand His Feast Days that were to be kept forever? Or do you SUBSTITUTE YHWH's Set-Apart SABBATH with BA'AL's DAY - The LORD's DAY - Sun-day? Do you disobey the Father intentionally or are you trapped in traditions that you love and will not change?

Do you recognize that the Messiah, Yahshua, was NOT BORN on DEC. 25th or do you celebrate CHRISTMAS instead of the Feast of Tabernacles when "the Word was made flesh and dwelt [tabernacled] among us"?

Do you keep the "holiday" day of Astarte/Ishtar-Easter with the Priests of Asherah/Astarte [Easter] and call it a Feast Day unto YHWH? Remember, Aaron built a golden calf and says, "Tomorrow we will have a feast day unto YHWH!" It is so easy to get caught up in what WE THINK IS ACCEPTABLE instead of JUST OBEYING HIS WORD when He has told us to "JUST DO IT!", "Just Obey Me".

If we don't KNOW His Appointed Times, how will we know or understand when we are in His Will? We won't, it is that plain and simple and that is part of what EliYah was trying to get across to the people on Mount Karmel. Get back to YHWH's word, His Ways, His Truth through a one-on-One relationship with Him or know that destruction is a certainty like what happened to the Preachers of the LORD in EliYah's day.

What a difference KNOWING AND CALLING UPON THE NAME OF YAHWEH can mean in your life.

What a difference OBEDIENCE TO YAHWEH'S Law can mean in your life.

When you KNOW THAT YHWH's NAME WAS REPLACED WITH THE NAME BA'AL, (BA'AL = "the LORD") you can now discern the true meaning and an accurate understanding of Scripture and the prophecy contained therein.

Only through the Ruach haQodesh (the Spirit that is set apart - Holy Spirit) can you begin to understand what our Heavenly Father intended for us to find upon much searching and prayer.

Think about this if you will. If you were separated from your parents from birth and raised by a different family and later you became of age to be on your own. When you were old enough to be on your own, you might find yourself drawn to finding your parents. The primary piece of the puzzle to finding your long lost family WOULD BE TO KNOW YOUR FATHER'S NAME and you might also need to find out if your father's name had been changed or he was being called by something other than his true name. Likewise, we were all "conceived in sin" and separated from our Heavenly Father. The ONLY WAY we can find our way back to our Heavenly Father is by KNOWING and CALLING upon the Only Name under Heaven whereby we might be rescued (saved)! The prophets of EliYah's day didn't think His Name was important so they just called him "the LORD" Ba'al. What about you?

Eliyah was there to tell, according to YHWH's timing, all the Northern Tribes of Yisra'el that their "flavor" of worshiping the one true creator was Not YAHWEH's WAY but rather it was the way of "the LORD" (Baal worship), just like today's Christian churches that are filled with idolatry, adultery, inherited lies and traditions that all unprofitable before Yahweh! It is the same for us today. We have inherited lies but now truth has been revealed and we can no longer claim ignorance as an excuse. YHWH has brought you to this point in your life to read this teaching according to His perfect plan for you. "I know the plans I have for you, declares YHWH". YermeYahu 29:11 (Jeremiah).

Eliyah was sent there by YHWH, as ONE MAN ALONE, to tell the RELIGIOUS children of Yisra'el that denying or not calling upon or praying to Yahweh, the NAME OF THE ONE TRUE ELOHIM was not going to "cut it" anymore. Calling the Heavenly Father by titles or attributes or "Ba'al" or"Adonai", "HaShem" or "the LORD" as we do in English today is just plain unacceptable once we come out of our ignorance that we have been born into.

We all know that while we were yet in ignorance, we had our prayers answered by our Heavenly Father when we called upon Him as "the LORD". Right? It is extremely hard to justify changing what we perceive is not broken. Therefore, we have a natural tendency to "stick with the proven" rather that explore what we would believe is NEW and unproven.

Friends, don't wait for the next showdown between EliYah and the Preachers of the Lord to grasp this amazing truth. The showdown is coming. EliYah is coming as one of the two witnesses "in the last days". We are living in those "last days" my friend and I am here to tell you the Spirit of EliYah is ALIVE and here to proclaim that YAHWEH IS HIS NAME and YAHWEH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!

Yes, EliYah will be hated by none other than those who, today, call themselves Christians for it is they who are the modern day Ba'al worshippers although in much ignorance. It is they to whom he is being sent to tell them these things:

1) That those who call themselves "Christians" and say Yahweh's laws are done away with, or that they are not important, or that "He knows our hearts" and He loves us and will accept us "just as we are", are now commanded to REPENT and TURN BACK TO THE FATHER'S WAYS!

2) That Ba'al worship is nothing more that "worshipping GOD' our own way", "doing our own thing", "celebrating Christmas, Easter, and other Pagan holidays instead of Yahweh's Feast Days that are shadow pictures/rehearsals of prophetic fulfillment.

When pondering about the TWO WITNESSES who will raise havoc with the RELIGIOUS POWERS THAT BE on the earth in the last days raises Goosebumps on my arms. Here you have Two Witnesses, EliYah and Mosheh; EliYah proclaiming that Yahweh, He is the Elohim and that Yahweh is His Name, and then you have Mosheh proclaiming that the Law was NEVER DONE AWAY WITH; IT WAS NEVER "NAILED TO THE CROSS".

There you have the ministries of the Two Witnesses. But just as surely as the Two Witnesses will come, the Spirit of these Two Witnesses is being awakened in the truth seeking children of Yisra'el today. Do you see the truth here? Do you see what Religion will get you? Do you see how Christianity is the practice of RELIGION today just like the children or Yisra'el PRACTICED the worship of "the LORD" [Ba'al] in THEIR OWN WAY in their days? Our ways are not His ways, says Yahweh.

REFLECTION #1: The Prophets of the LORD were totally confident that morning that the LORD would hear their prayers and accept their offerings regardless of their handling of their spiritual affairs THEIR OWN WAY instead of YHWH's. In fact, they were just doing the "christian thing" you might say and by their resistance to the truth EliYah was preaching of the importance of calling upon the Name of YHWH, they, in fact, where exercising self-righteous rebellion against His Name and His Established Ways and His Appointed Times.

RESULT: Continuing to do it "their own way" (RELIGION) resulted in their death within hours after the acceptance of EliYah's challenge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REFLECTION #2: King Ahab was totally confident and delighted to watch this "show" from the bleachers as great sport in his day. He was totally confident that regardless what happened down below, that he had EliYah in his site and trapped and was going to get rid of him right after the show.

RESULT: King Ahab stunned by the events of the day, did not get his way with EliYah, but instead could only go back and report to Izabel.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REFLECTION #3: The People who followed the prophets of the LORD, saw the error of the teachings of their preachers and of them being exposed in front of their very eyes and being destroyed.

RESULT: They got the message when TRUTH hit them right in front of their eyes and they responded appropriately and "ALL THE PEOPLE SAW AND FELL ON THEIR FACES, AND SAID, YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM! YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My friends, do you now see with new eyes? Can you say YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!

YHWH will make known His SET APART NAME to all the world. Check out these passages in Mal'aki (Malachi):

Mal'aki 1:11 "For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, MY NAME is great among nations. And in every place incense is presented to MY NAME, and a clean offering. For MY NAME is great among nations," said YHWH of hosts.

1:14b "For I am a great Sovereign," said YHWH of hosts, "and MY NAME is feared among nations."

2:1-6 "And now, O priests, this command is for you. If you do not hear, and if you do not take it to heart, to give esteem to MY NAME," said YHWH of hosts, "I shall send a curse upon you, and I shall curse your blessings. And indeed, I have cursed them because you do not take it to heart." See, I shall rebuke your seed, and scatter dung before your faces, the dung of your festivals [Easter, Christmas, etc]. And you shall be taken away with it. And you shall know that I have sent this command to you, as being My covenant with Levi," said YHWH of hosts. My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him, to fear. And he feared me, and stood in awe of MY NAME. The Torah of Truth was in his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and straightness, and turned many away from crookedness."

3:16-18 "Then shall those who fear YHWH speak to one another, and YHWH listen and hear, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fear YHWH, and those who think upon His Name." "And they shall be Mine," said YHWH of hosts, "on the day that I prepare a treasured possession. And I shall spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." "Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wrong, between one who serves Elohim and one who does not serve Him."

4:2 "But to you who fear MY NAME the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.

4:4 "Remember the Law of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Yisra'el - law and right rulings."

[The Spirit of the Witness of Mosheh will bring back THE REMEMBRANCE OF THE LAW!]

4:5 "See, I am sending you EliYah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of YHWH."

[The Spirit of the Witness of EliYah will bring back the REMEMBRANCE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE NAME OF YHWH!]

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law - The Spirit of the Witness of Mosheh] or the Prophets [The Spirit of the Witness of EliYah]. I did not come to destroy but to complete." Mattithyahu 5:17.

The Law [Mosheh] and the Prophets [EliYah] is going to be FILLED with meaning very soon before our very eyes in these last days.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YermeYahu 16:21 says
"Therefore see, I am causing them to know,
this time I cause them
to know My hand and My might.
And they shall know that
My Name is YHWH!"

That is prophecy my friend that is yet to be fullfilled in this present day. Can you see? It is happening right now all over this earth among His people. Our prayer is that He is calling you and filling you with the Spirit of EliYah. EliYah means "YHWH is my ELOHIM" and "Servant of Yah".

Praise be to Yah! Hallelu-Yah!

We sing the song, "Praise ye the Lord - Hallelu-Yah" but most people singing that don't realize they are singing "Praise ye Ba'al" in English and "Hallelu-Yah" meaning "Praise be to Yah!" in Hebrew.

"How long will YOU be hopping between two opinions?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"For I say to you,
from now on
you shall by no means see Me,
until you say,
'Blessed is He who is coming
in the Name of YHWH!"
MattithYahu 23:39

The Following excerpt also brings to attention the historical truth of who the first "colonizers" of America were.

From "Dicovery of Ancient America" by David Allen Deal pg. 141-142; Kherem La YAH Press.

YAHWEH, THE UNIFYING MIGHTY ONE

The Communities we have been discussing in it his addenda, communities that settled here in north America long before Columbus, possessed a single unifying feature. It is clear that they were religious groups. all of them. Some were Jewish (Israelitish). some were Messianic Christian. Some were moving through the country and some were settled agricultural groups. That one feature, common to all, was that they unanimously worshiped Yahweh. the mighty one that led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt and captivity and through the Red (Suph) Sea, and finally to the land of Kanaan

It is ablundantly clear from study of the Torah, that the Jews (Israelites) originally worshiped Yahweh, and invoked him by name. This sacred name YHWH  YAHWEH in ancient Paleo-Hebrew TheNameappears over seven thousand times in the written Hebrew Torah. It has never left the pages, only the lips of the Jews. They refuse to pronouce it any longer because of a religious superstition developed among the Pharisee cult sometime just before the 1st-century AD, about the same time they abandoned the old way of writing (paleo-hebrew) in which form the name of Yahweh looks like this, .YAHWEH in ancient Paleo-Hebrew

It is also known, though less so because two thousand years of Roman religious dogma and pressure has attempted to erase its use, that the early followers of the "way" now commonly called "Christians," also invoked the sacred name  (Yahweh), in their daily speech and in their worship of him. Use of this holy name caused the Jewish leaders to reject the early followers of Yahwshua the Messiah (commonly called "Jesus," although this was never his actual name) to pursue them and kill them for the trumped-up charge of "blasphemy," a thing never required by Yahweh's Torah which taught to "call" upon my name... " "I will save him because he knows my name..." Yahweh, this is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered by all generations." (Exodus 3:15ff)

This name of the creator YAHWEH in ancient Paleo-Hebrew a thing shunned by the Jews, ignored by the modern Christians, was even a great cause of problems for those using it 2000 years ago. Religious persecution forced these people away from the Roman world of Mediterranian, and it is for precisely at this time we see these groups arriving here in the north American continent. It is a presumption to think that they could not have arrived here by ships when the Phoenician - Carthaginians had been plying the oceans for hundreds of years prior, back to the time of Hyram, King o fTyre a contemporary of Israelite King David. Here we reference the Paraiba stone of Brazil, created by Kanaanites (Phoenicians), dated by the 17th year of the Hyram, * now lost, but copies stil exist. This expedition was requoted again, many years later by Dioderous of Sicily in the 1st-century, confirming the Kanaanite discovery of Bazil, by ship to roughly 950 BC, by the fact that they returned to the Mediterranian to make report.

* Possibly Hyram I,II or III as As early as 950 BC &as late as 7th-century BC

Page 141

These original old Hebrew letter forms have never been completely lost. The Samaritans still use them in their Bibles, even a Samaritan newspaper, was being published until very recently in what amounts to biblical "ancient" or "paleo-Hebrew." In ancient America, ca 2000 years before present, both of these forms were being used by various religious communities. We have artifacts that demonstrate this usage.. Many early American "scholars" were not scholarly enough to identify this sacred name when it appeared on artifacts, and whole collectrions of artifacts, that they summarily rejected as "fake" out of base and willful ingorance.

These days, the letter forms are easily recognized by anyone willing to study the problem even to a small degree. We shall see that this sacred name, appearing in the sacred letter forms, of  YAHWEH in ancient Paleo-Hebrew (Yahweh). was in use in ancient America. It is true that the later Hebrew is also used. One set from Michigan, is a modified (cuneiform) style version, but recongizable nonetheless.

It has been reproted by John Adair, who lived among the Cherokee Indians that they chanted the letters for the sacred name whilst hopping or dancing around the "scared fire," vocalizing "Yod - He - Wah... Yod - He - wah." these are the Hebrew pronounciations of YH and W or YaHW a version of the name used by several communities. and allowed by the Jews, who would not allow the vocaliation of the entire name. This led the Coptics of Egypt to call Yahweh "YHW or Yao" Yeu"

Diodorous of Sicily claimed that the Jews called their diety... "'Iaw" - Yahw".

- Dio.Book I, Chapter 94.

Hurbert Howe Bancroft, in his Native Races, (1882) makes note of the "IOWA tribe of indians deriving their name from the name of god" (i.e., YHWH) footnote, page 94, volume V. The name "IOWA" may well be YHWH. Josephus states that "the sacred name consisted of vowels." (war of the Jews V. 5. VII). Hebrew vocalization of the letters Y-H-W-H in vowel form would be: -ee-ah-oo-ah, and "IOWA" is clearly a close pronounciation. YAHWEH in ancient Paleo-Hebrew is actually pronounced as ee-ah-oo-EH because that is the Hebrew grammatical rule for a masculine name ending in the letter H.

In this book on the Hopi, Frank Waters points out that the Hopi deity is called - Ta-Iowa" also very similar to the name IOWA and Yahweh.

It is sadly ironic that the long black-coated preachers who came to civilize the "savage indians" while carrying Bibles like weapons to use on them, took away the correct name of Yahweh (which they knew nothing of from unabashed ingorance), and substitute the false name of "Jesus" (remember the Messiah's true name was "Yahwshua," not "Jesus)". this is certainly not to claim that all of the religious practices of the indians were pure. They were not. But at least some of them had the sacred name Yahweh right, and the long-black-coats did not. His name is an extremely important thing to Yahweh, at least that's what his Bible states.
