MapMigrations When it comes to the name Israel, there is a great deal of confusion.

patriarchs

Of Edomites and Israelites

The fist mention of Edom in scripture is Gen 25:30 "And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom." Esau became known by the name of Edom. This is verified many other times," Gen 36:1 Now these [are] the generations of Esau, who [is] Edom.," "Gen 36:8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau [is] Edom.," "Gen 36:19 These [are] the sons of Esau, who [is] Edom,...","Gen 36:1 Now these [are] the generations of Esau, who [is] Edom." At this point I think everybody understands that Esau was the founder of Edom. This is very significant, for we read in Romans 9:13,"As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."

Yes, Yahweh God does hate, and He even admits it.It is also important to note that Yahweh loved Jacob, whose name was later changed to Israel and after whom the people and tribes of Israel were named. It was through Jacob that the promises and covenants that Yahweh had made to Abraham and Isaac were to pass. Yet Esau was hated! What could Esau have possibly done to be hated by Yahweh?

Gen 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised [his] birthright.

Most stop right there, assuming that trading his birthright as the eldest son for a bowl of beans is the end of it. True this does show how trivial this responsibility was to Esau, but if we look at this next verse, we will see this even clearer,"Gen 26:34 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah." Esau had taken wives which were not of the lineage of Heber, or Hebrew if you will. He married hittite women. Now there had been dealings between Hebrews and Hittites in the past, buisiness dealings and such, but not intermarriage. The hittites were descended from Canaan, the son of Ham. Canaan was cursed for his father Ham's sin of "looking upon his father Noah's nakedness", a term which some scholars have suggested actually meant being far more than a peeping tom ( ever wonder why it was the child, Canaan which was cursed instead of the father,Ham?), Genesis 9:25. So Esau took cursed women of a cursed lineage to be his wives and the mothers of his children. And they were a grief unto Rebekah and Isaac. This truly is significant because when Esau became aware of how badly his parents were grieved by this, he made a halfhearted attempt to fix the problem,"

Gen 28:6 When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan; ...Gen 28:8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife." Esau couldn't seem to figure it out. Instead of seeing that Jacob was being sent to find a wife of the same lineage from Shem, he foolishly thought that he could take a shortcut by going to the Ishmaelites, who were of the seed of Abraham. Ishmael had 12 sons, although we are not given any information as to who the mothers were. They could have been Shemites, they could have been Canaanites, we have no record. But what we do know is that Ishmael and his descendants, Gen 25:18 "... dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that [is] before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: [and] he died in the presence of all his brethren." It is highly unlikely that the sons of Ishmael took any care in their choice of women, so Esau's attempt to correct himself before his parents, still left him with a questionable bunch of descendants.

Another important aspect of the identification of Edom lies in the blessing of Isaac. Everyone is fairly well associated with the story of how Jacob tricked his father into thinking that he was actually Esau and getting the blessing of the firstborn upon himself. Still, there are some important points that should be brought out here. 1)" And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying,...Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee."(Genesis 27:6) This was not Jacob's idea, it was his mother Rebekah's.She even calmed his fears about this plan by telling him that she would take upon herself any curse or consequences of these actions. 2)"Gen 27:28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed [be] every one that curseth thee, and blessed [be] he that blesseth thee." Isaac's blessing upon Jacob was the same blessing Yahweh pronounced upon Abraham,"Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed...,"; Isaac was passing on the torch of the chosen lineage.. From here Jacob went on to take wives of his own people, the descendants of Shem and Heber, hebrews, with which to have children and continue the blessings that Yahweh had placed on Abraham. His name was changed to Israel, man or prince ruling with El, and his descendants have indeed become a great multitude, covering all of Europe, North America, Australia, and establishing colonies throughout the earth, blessing all the families or races on earth. But then there was Esau's "blessing".

Gen 27:36" And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, [even] me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob."

Here again we need to look at some very important points. 1) Esau/Edom and his descendants were to be the servants of Jacob/Israel. 2) Esau/Edom would live by the sword. 3) Esau hated Jacob and conspired to slay him. 4)A time would come when Esau/Edom would have the dominion and would break off the "yoke" of Jacob. Let's look a little closer at these points.

Point number 1) Esau/Edom and his descendants were to be servants of Jacob/Israel. This NEVER took place during the lives of neither Jacob or Esau. When Jacob returned from Padanaram with his four wives and children, there was a reunion of sorts between the two men, a truce if you will, but it was surface dressing only. Perhaps Esau hoped he could still gain some favor with his aged father by pretending to accept his brother. One thing is for certain, he NEVER PLANNED on serving his brother. How do we know? Gen 33:16" So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir." Esau had been living in the region known as Seir or Mt. Seir with all his multicultural family for some time. When the "reunion" between he and Jacob came to an end, rather than settling his household in with Jacob's in subjection as servant's, he left and went back to his new home, and there he stayed.Gen 36:1" Now these [are] the generations of Esau, who [is] Edom.Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite; And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth. And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel; And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these [are] the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan. And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob. For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle (this was just after their father Isaac's death). Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau [is] Edom. And these [are] the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:...Gen 36:43according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he [is] Esau the father of the Edomites."

It would actually be, in point of fact, many, many generations before this would come to pass. Jacob and his twelve sons would eventually end up in Egypt, where there descendants would multiply and become a great multitude for hundreds of years until finally being led out by Moses. Here the next mention of Edom it is a great country and nation,Num 20:14 And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:...:18 And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.:20 And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him." Here we see that Edom had not only become a nation, but a nation bent AGAINST the nation or people of Israel. How is it that an entire nation could be against Israel after so many generations? They were carrying on the hatred or emnity Esau had for Jacob. Though there was peace between the two men during their lives, the secret hatred of Esau festered and seethed, only being allowed to come out in the presence of his children and grandchildren. Thus one generation after another learned of Jacob's trickery in obtaining the birthright, although from Esau's point of view, making him appear the innocent victim, hence making them appear as helpless victims as well. This actually plays into point number 4, but we will continue that one later. The futureness of the servitude of Edom unto Jacob was confirmed by of all people, Baalim, when he attempted to curse Israel as they wandered through the wilderness, yet ending up with Yahweh turning it toblessing instead,

Num 24:17" I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly."

Indeed, it wasn't until David was king of Israel that this prophecy came to true fruition:2Sa 8:14 "And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And Yahweh preserved David whithersoever he went." From this point forward, Edom attempted to throw off Israel's yoke several times but never successfully. Even when they would gain a level of indepedance by attempting to "throw off Jacob's yoke" it was always short lived, as we see in 2Ch 25:11. Edom attempted to help the Babylonians conquer Judah and in Psa 137:1, we read," By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof .For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us [required of us] mirth, [saying], Sing us [one] of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us." So we can see that the Judahites were serious about keeping themselves seperate from the non-Israelitish peoples, at least for a while. :4 "Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they [unto him] an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem." An interesting tactic. First, attempt to infiltrate and amalgamate with your enemy, if that doesn't work, accuse them of some falsehood. There really is nothing new under the sun.

So it may seem that that Esau/Edom had cast off Jacob's yoke, but as we follow Judah's history beyond this point we see a different story.

Josephus: Antiquities of the Jews (Judahites)

Chapter 9 - HOW, AFTER THE DEATH OF ANTIOCHUS, HYRCANUS MADE AN EXPEDITION AGAINST SYRIA, AND MADE A LEAGUE WITH THE ROMANS. CONCERNING THE DEATH OF KING DEMETRIUS AND ALEXANDER

1. BUT when Hyrcanus heard of the death of Antiochus, he presently made an expedition against the cities of Syria, hoping to find them destitute of fighting men, and of such as were able to defend them. However, it was not till the sixth month that he tothe LORD'S song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [her cunning]. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase [it], rase [it, even] to the foundation thereof. O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy [shall he be], that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy [shall he be], that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."Once The tribes of Judah, Benjamin and the Levites had been carried away in the Babylonian captivity, Edomites, or Idumeans as they were beginning to be called, began to occupy the now deserted Judahite territory.

Eze 36:5 "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all [their] heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey." Now when a remnant of Judah, Benjamin and Levi returned 70 years later to rebuild Jerusalem, we begin to read some very interesting things.Ezr 4:1" Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the LORD God of Israel; Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye [do]; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither." Two points of interest immediately present themselves. 1) Who were the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin? Neh 2:10 When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite..." More Canaanites. As you read on in Nehemia you discover that these particolar Canaanites had filled the deserted places of the northern kingdom of 10 tribed Israel, now referred to only as Samaria. But bear in mind who it was that had rejoiced in the day of Jerusalem's defeat by Babylon. The Edomites, having enjoyed the land for 70 years in Judah's absence. 2) Upon seeing the Judahites return, they instantly sought to insert themselves into the mix, claiming to worship Yahweh as well. :3 But Zerubbabel, and ok Medaba, and that not without the greatest distress of his army. After this he took Samega, and the neighboring places; and besides these, Shechem and Gerizzim, and the nation of the Cutheans, who dwelt at the temple which resembled that temple which was at Jerusalem, and which Alexander permitted Sanballat, the general of his army, to build for the sake of Manasseh, who was son-in-law to Jaddua the high priest, as we have formerly related; which temple was now deserted two hundred years after it was built. Hyrcanus took also Dora and Marissa, cities of Idumea, and subdued all the Idumeans; and permitted them to stay in that country, if they would circumcise their genitals, and make use of the laws of the Jews; and they were so desirous of living in the country of their forefathers, that they submitted to the use of circumcision, and of the rest of the Jewish ways of living; at which time therefore this befell them, that they were hereafter no other than Jews.

So with the return of the remnant of Judah and Benjamin, we also see the return of Jacob's yoke. However, in this one act we also see the seeds of Esau/Edom's eventual independance. Pay close attention to the last statement of Josephus,"that they were hereafter no other than Jews." This becomes the center of everything in just a little while.

Point number 2: Esau/Edom would live by the sword. As we follow Edom throughout scripture we their constant presence in war. But not just in their own warfare, but also the wars of others (remember their help to Babylon?). Living by the sword does not have to just mean being a people constantly at war. It can also mean that war, violence, killing, etc., make them a living, i.e., they make their living by war, killing and violence.

Point number 3: We have been seeing this point being demonstrated throughout this study, but for more evidence: Num 20:18 "And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.",Psa 137:7" Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase [it], rase [it, even] to the foundation thereof.", Eze 25:12" Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;",Joe 3:19" Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence [against] the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.",Amo 1:11" Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:".

Point number 4: A time would come when Esau/Edom would have the dominion and would break off the "yoke" of Jacob. Here I refer us back to Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews (actually Judahites),chapter 9, verse 1,"Hyrcanus took also Dora and Marissa, cities of Idumea, and subdued all the Idumeans; and permitted them to stay in that country, if they would circumcise their genitals, and make use of the laws of the Jews; and they were so desirous of living in the country of their forefathers, that they submitted to the use of circumcision, and of the rest of the Jewish ways of living; at which time therefore this befell them, that they were hereafter no other than Jews. " Here we see the hopelessly inferior ruler of Judah, now becoming known as Judea, John Hyrcanus, making the entire population of Edom, now known as Idumea, into "Judeans". Now, for the very first time, Esau/Edom had real leverage in this centuries old emnity with true Jacob-Israel. They had rights and respectability, but more than this, they had real access to the inheritance of Jacob-Israel, which they had always coveted in their hearts. Now the opportunity to steal back the birthright seemed a very real possibility. War had not granted it to them, but by way of deception, the possibility of "reclaiming" the lost birthright of Esau was within their grasp.

Another thing we find is the state of the priesthood. We know the Half Edomite Herod Usurper King of Judea ran out nearly all the Sadducee original priests and appointed his own Edomite Pharisarical order, and their rulers being his own sons.

During the Herodian and Roman periods, "some twenty-eight high priests (only two of which were from families that had any legitimate claim) held office in little more than one century (from 37 B.C.E. to 70 C.E.)."
- Craig A. Evans, "Opposition to the Temple: Jesus and the Dead Sea Scrolls" in Jesus and the Dead Sea Scrolls (James H. Charlesworth, Ed. - 1992), p. 239

(note: remember, there's a big difference between Priests, and High Priests. We see it was the newly appointed "high priests" that were almost completely Edomite-Canaanites, and they had most of the control on the churches and lower level Priests.)

In Josephus' Antiquities, book 13, chapter 8, verse 1 we read,"But Hyrcanus having taken the high priesthood that had been his father's before, and in the first place propitiated God by sacrifices, he then made an expedition against Ptolemy". In Yahweh's law it was never the high priests place as a Levite to lead the nation militarily. The priesthood was becoming corrupted by the various religious sects such as the Sadducees and the Pharisees, which did not require Levitical descent. Through these avenues the Idumeans were infiltrating the temple government and hierarchy. Added to this was the advent of Herod the great. The Jewish Encyclopedia itself proclaims,"King of Judea 40-4 B.C.; founder of the Herodian dynasty; born about 73 B.C.; son of Antipater, and, consequently, of Idumean origin.". "They were again subdued by John Hyrcanus (c. 125 B.C.), by whom they were forced to observe Jewish rites and laws (ib. xiii. 9, § 1; xiv. 4, § 4). They were then incorporated with the Jewish nation, and their country was called by the Greeks and Romans "Idumea" (Mark iii. 8; Ptolemy, "Geography," v. 16). With Antipater began the Idumean dynasty that ruled over Judea till its conquest by the Romans.", under the heading "Edox/Idumea".

At long last, Esau/Edom had the throne.

The Edomite/Idumean dynasty controlled the area once known as Judah both through the civil government and through the corrupted priesthood and religious orders. Obviously, some actual Levites and Judahites were still involved, but their power and influence were waning. The majority of the true Israelitish stock was centered in Galilee to the north. Jerusalem itself had become a multicultural hodgepodge, which is usually were the bulk of Yahoshua's wrath and ire were unleashed. His denunciations of the pharisees and saduccees have been glossed over by countless judeo-christian ministers.

Jhn 8:31 "Then said Yahoshua to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Now this seems like a reasonable enough statement to anyone who was believing on Him, but notice how quickly these imposters became offended."They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?" Two important points immediately present themselves:1) they were of Abraham's seed and 2) they had never been in bondage to any man. Let's look at point number 2 first.

All of Jacob/Israel had been in bondage at some point. The ten northern tribes of Israel proper were carried away as captives by the Assyrians 700 years prior, never returning to Palestine, but beginning their northwestern trek across Europe and becoming known by other names such as Celts, Angles and Saxons, hooking up with other Danites and Judahites as well as other Israelite tribal remnants that had colonized much of Europe and the mediterranean even prior to this, known as Milesians, Trojans, Macedonians and Tuatha de Danaan. Judah, Benjamin and Levi were carried away into Babylonian slavery 100 years after 10 tribed Israel, and served their time in Babylon for 70 years before returning to the land of Judah. So an Israelite of any tribe would not be able to say ,"we have never been in bondage to any man".

However this is where point number 1 comes in," we be of Abraham's seed." Now could anyone besides Jacob/Israel claim to be Abraham's seed? Why yes.

Most prominent would be Ishmael, son of Hagar. Now we have already looked at the fact that Ishmael most likely did not intermarry with other Shemites or hebrews of his father's lineage. Of course, Esau was of Abraham's seed, he was of course Jacob's twin brother. So while he (and his descendants) could claim to be Abraham's seed, they could NEVER rightfully claim to be Israelites, could NEVER rightfully claim to be Judahites, but scince they had been given full legal status by John Hyrcanus 100 years previous, could claim to be Judeans or jews (which was merely a slang term developed during the Babylonian captivity).

:37" I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, [even] God.Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word.Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not."

So Yahoshua acknowledged their descendancy from Abraham, but he also added another pedigree to the mix, the devil, and he could only have entered into the family tree through a CURSED mix. Now who have we looked at who was of Abraham's seed, but had mixed that seed with a CURSED race or people?

Esau, the Father of Edom, a people whom Yahweh called the people of His curse (Malachi 1:4, Isaiah 34:5).

Now let's look at at a another significant event.Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." This particular prophecy was fulfilled only a few decades later in 70 A.D., when the Romans devastated Jerusalem. For a different view of this event, let's look again at the Jewish Encyclopedia under Edox/Idumea, "Immediately before the siege of Jerusalem 20,000 Idumeans, under the leadership of John, Simeon, Phinehas, and Jacob, appeared before Jerusalem to fight in behalf of the Zealots who were besieged in the Temple (Josephus, "B. J." iv. 4, § 5). From this time the Idumeans ceased to be a separate people..."It is at this point most so-called scholars and historians talk about the "jewish dispersion" or the "diaspora", and attempt to tie this to the Old Covenant prophecies of the scattering of Israel, but this just isn't the case. Israel had been scattered centuries earlier to fulfill the words of Hosea,1:10" Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, [that] in the place where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people, [there] it shall be said unto them, [Ye are] the sons of the living God." Notice here that these people who will be called"...not my people" ( or gentiles ), are still "...the children of Israel ", and no other. The so-called "jewish dipersion" has nothing to do with true Jacob/Israel, but with an Edomite/Idumean hodgepodge that had no legitimate claim nor right to the name, the land, the promises nor the covenants of true Jacob/Israel, but were rather imposters of Esau/Edom, hijacking the heritage and laying claim to the "birthright" of Jacob/Israel, or as Yahoshua put it, Revelation 2:9,"...and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews (Judahites), and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan."

Enter Khazaria.

A lot of people have read Arthur Koestler's book, "The Thirteenth Tribe", which documents how the Khazars converted to judaism and that the descendants of these people now constitute over 90% of jewry today. Many other books have been written (by jews, I might add) confirming and proving this fact. To many, this would seem to make light the entire subject of Esau/Edom, but not so. Once again, let us consult the Jewish Encyclopedia:

Jewish Encyclopedia, Heading: Chazars

"Hasdai ibn Shaprut, who was foreign minister to 'Abd al-RaHman, Sultan of Cordova, in his letter to King Joseph of the Chazars (about 960), relates that the first information about that kingdom was communicated to him by envoys from Khorassan, and that their statements were corroborated by the ambassadors from Byzantium. The latter told him that the powerful Chazars were maintaining amicable relations with the Byzantine empire, with which they carried on by sea a trade in fish, skins, and other wares, the voyage from Constantinople occupying fifteen days. Hasdai determined to avail himself of the services of the Byzantine embassy to transmit his letter to the king of the Chazars, and with that view he despatched Isaac ben Nathan with valuable gifts to the emperor, requesting him to aid Isaac in his journey to Chazaria. But the Greeks interposed delays, and finally sent Isaac back to Cordova. Hasdai then decided to send his message by way of Jerusalem, Nisibis, Armenia, and Bardaa, but the envoys of the king of the Gebalim (Boleslav I. of Bohemia), who had then just arrived in Cordova, and among whom were two Jews, Saul and Joseph, suggested a different plan. They offered to send the letter to Jews living in "Hungarin" (Hungary), who, in their turn, would transmit it to "Russ" (Russia), and thence through "Bulgar" (probably the country of the Bulgarians on the Kuban) to its destination (Atel, the capital of Chazaria). As the envoys; guaranteed the safe delivery of the message, Hasdai accepted the proposal. He further expressed his thankfulness that God in His mercy had not deprived the Jews of a deliverer, but had preserved the remnant of the Jewish race.

Taking a keen interest in everything relating to the kingdom of the Chazars, Hasdai begs the king to communicate to him a detailed account of the geography of his country, of its internal constitution, of the customs and occupations of its inhabitants, and especially of the history of his ancestry and of the state. In this letter Hasdai speaks of the tradition according to which the Chazars once dwelt near the Seir (Serir) Mountains; he refers to the narrative of Eldad ha-Dani,...

Did you catch that? The Khazars in their distant past originated from the same Seir Mountains as the Edomites. So what you have here is a body of Edomites that migrated north, eventually settling in a large area of Russia, and becoming known as a completely different people, until as destiny would have it, they are reunited with their family tree. Amazing how things truly do come full circle, isn't it? This incidentally, places a whole new light on the whole "Gog and Magog" prophecies. Most bible scholars have accused Russia as a whole of being Gog, creating the scenario for an attack of Russia over the North Pole on America to fulfill Ezekiel 38. But when you realize that Gog was actually still the Edomite haters of Yahweh, it actually causes you to reevaluate this prophecy.

esau

Actually, the failure to properly identify who Israel is and who all the other players mentioned are has caused much error in attempting to study prophecy. Esau/Edom has a significant part to play in the last days. But many christians spiritualize Edom just as they spiritualize Israel, not realizing these are two very real groups of people who still live in the earth today. Likewise, many other christians rationalize much of prophecy, for in not knowing the Power and Presence of Yahweh God, they unfortunately interpret things through the eyes of flesh. They too, will be very disappointed at Yahoshua's literal return.

We end this study with a few pertinent scriptures and prophecies concerning Esau/Edom/Idumea and their part in the final days of the end of the age.

Jer 49:7 Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; [Is] wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time [that] I will visit him.If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave [some] gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough. But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: (This is exactly what Yahweh is doing in these last days. As more and more people come to understand the true lineage of the usurpers claiming to be Israel, Esau's secret places are being uncovered) his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he [is] not.Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve [them] alive; and let thy widows trust in me.For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment [was] not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and [art] thou he [that] shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink [of it].For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, [saying], Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle. For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, [and] despised among men. (Compare to...) Oba 1:2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised. (Does this not describe a certain nation in the middle east?)

Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, [and] the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, (Oba 1:3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation [is] high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?Though thou exalt [thyself] as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.)

I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof. As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour [cities] thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who [is] a chosen [man, that] I may appoint over her? for who [is] like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who [is] that shepherd that will stand before me?Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them. The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

Psa 108:9 Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe;Isa 63:1 Who [is] this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this [that is] glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.Wherefore [art thou] red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people [there was] none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance [is] in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.(Rev 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand [and] six hundred furlongs. Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;)
Lam 4:21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked. The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.(Oba 1:6 How are [the things] of Esau searched out! [how] are his hidden things sought up!)

Mal 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? [Was] not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

Isa 34:1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.For the indignation of the LORD [is] upon all nations, and [his] fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling [fig] from the fig tree. For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, [and] with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. For [it is] the day of the LORD'S vengeance, [and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.Eze 35:1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I [am] against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD.Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed [the blood of] the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time [that their] iniquity [had] an end:Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. And I will fill his mountains with his slain [men]: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. And thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. ( Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan./Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.)

Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, [even] all of it: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

Eze 36:5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all [their] heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.(Again...) Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan./Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie."

Because of Yahweh's great love for David and His promise that David would never lack an heir upon the throne, He allowed the lineage of David to retain Judah and Benjamin. All this was fullfilled after Solomon's death under his son Rehoboam. The upper 10 tribes revolted and formed a seperate kingdom or House of Israel with Samaria as it's capitol, while Judah and Benjamin formed the House or kingdom of Judah with Jerusalem as it's capitol. These two were everafter seperate and distinct, neither one being interchangeable with the other.

Do try to remember this, you will be tested on it later.

The northern ten tribed kingdom of Israel never stood for the pure worship of Yahweh. They sunk into the mire of idolatry from the very beginning and never looked back, not until aproximately 721B.C., when they were carried away lock, stock and barrel by the Assyrian empire and relocated in Halah, Goza and in the towns of the Medes. II Kings 18.

Many fortified cities of Judah were also captured and relocated, but the kingdom itself never fell, at least not until 100 years later when Babylon took the Judahites captive for a season. The lost sheep of the house of Israel, however, never returned, never resettled Palestine. Even after the Assyrian Empire fell, shortly threafter, they are not heard from again, at least not as Israelites.

Ironically enough, however, at this very time a vast migration was surging across Europe through the Caucasus Mountains and by sea. A people becoming known as Kumri, Sacae, Scythians, Trojans, Dananoi, Bythons, Milesians, Celts, Norseman, Iberians, Scots and Normans. Naturally many of these people had colonized along the Mediteranean and into Europe for centuries, by products of Hebrew trade routes, and the built in Israelitish need to explore.

The kingdom of Judah only remained under Babylonian captivity for 70 years. After the end of 70 years, only a remnant returned to Jerusalem. Here they began to rebuild and reassert themselves as a national force among the Edomites and other Canaanites who had filled the land in their absence, which of course was always the Edomites goal.

Here the remnant of Judah, Benjamin and a few Levites struggled to maintain their national and racial seperation, until King John Hyrcanus conquered the Edomites, then offered them full citizenship if they would adopt Hebrew laws and customs, which they did. So it was that 150 years later an Edomite named Herod reigned over a cosmopolitan polyglot called Judea, and Edomites ruled the temple through the sects of the pharisees and sadducees. Judea was now nothing more than a geographical term [like America] rather than a title of racial lineage. By far the largest settlement of pure Israelites was centered not in Jerusalem, but north in Galilee, mostly of Benjamite stock but also many Judahites and Levites. It was from here that two Judahites, not judeans, would be chosen for the honor of protecting and nurturing the young Messiah, and it was from here that 11 of the twelve disciples came, each and everyone a Benjamite; the 12th being Judas Iscariot. Iscariot gives the traitor away, for this was not his name, but his designation. The literal word,"Ish Carioth" meaning "man of Carioth", an Edomite settlement.

Now contrary to what most are taught today, the knowledge of the "lost" tribes was not as much a secret at that time as most assume.

"The Judeans, therefore, remarked to one another thus:'Where will this fellow go, that we cannot find Him? Surely He will not go to the Dispersion among the greeks and teach the greeks?'" John 7:35 Ferrar Fenton.

So even the pharisees knew that the "dispersed" tribes of Israel included the greek peoples, as Paul confirmed in I Corinthians 10:1-4.

Many people get confused by the word "gentile", thinking that it means a non-jew. This is a travesty. Gentile is simply used as nations or peoples. This word is grossly misused by translators. There is nothing in this word that indicates whether a person is a Judahite or a Benjamite or a Simeonite.

"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes that are scattered abroad, greeting,"James 1:1.

So who do you think James was opening his letter to? As an Issraelite, who do you think James would have addressed as the "twelve tribes scattered abroad"?

Many misunderstand Peter's letters, as they are addressed to "...the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappodocia, Asia and Bithynia..." The word stranger here does not imply NON-Israelite, but rather is the same greek word used throughout the new testament for PILGRIM.

Hmmmm. Let's look at some other identifying marks of who Peter is writing to.

"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father..." I Peter 1:2. Elect is a very important designation, for it only refers to one group of people only throughout scripture.

"For as much as ye were not redeemed with corruptible things." :8 You can only redeem something that was formerly yours. But more about that later.

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light." I Peter 2:9

"But you are a select race..." Ferrar Fenton.

Now who is the only nation or people Yahweh God ever referred to in such terms.

"Now therefore, if ye will obey My Voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all peoples: for all the earth is Mine: and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests and an holy nation..." Exodus 19: 5-6.

:...for you are a people holy to Yahweh your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, Yahweh has chosen you to be His possession." Deuteronomy 14: 2.

"And Yahweh has declared this day that you are His people, his treasured possession as He promised, and you are to keep all His commands." Deuteronomy 26:18.

"For Yahweh has chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure." Psalm 135: 4

"O ye seed of Israel His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones." I Chronicles 16: 13.

" This people have I formed for Myself; they shall show forth My praise." Isaiah 45:21.

So at any time has Yahweh referred to any nation, race or people as being His as He so obviously has Jacob/Israel? No, in fact the opposite is true.

"For thou art a holy people unto Yahweh thy God; Yahweh thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto Himself, above all the peoples that are on the face of the earth." deuteronomy 7:6.

"...so shall we be seperated, I and thy people, from all the people that are on the face of the earth."Exodus 33:16.

"And all the people of the earth shall see that thou art called, by the Name of Yahweh: and they shall be afraid of thee." Deuteronomy 28:10.

"For the Yahweh's portion is His people, Jacob is the Lot of His inheritance." Deuteronomy 32:9.

"And who is like your people Israel - the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for Himself, and to make an name for Himself...you have established your people Israel as your own forever, and you, o Yahweh, have become their God." II Samuel 7: 23-24.

"Salvation belongeth unto Yahweh, Thy blessing is upon Thy people." Psalm 3:8.

"O come, let us worship and bow down;let us kneel before Yahweh our Maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand." Psalm 95:7.

"Know ye that Yahweh He is God: it is He that hath made us and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture," Psalm 100:3.

"He sent redemption unto His people: He hath commanded His covenant forever." Psalm 111:9.

"He showeth His word unto Jacob; His statutes and judgements unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as far as His judgements, they have not known them." Psalm 147:19-20.

"Thus shall they know that I Yahweh their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are My people saith Yahweh God. And ye my flock, the flockof My pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith Yahweh God." Ezekiel 34:30-31.

"Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forever more. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God and they shall be My people. And the heathen [literally, nations] shall know that I Yahweh do sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forever more." Ezekiel 37: 26-28.

In all honesty, you really should read the whole of Ezekiel 37. Time and space do not permit me to reprint it here. Now, consider Revelation 21:3,"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them, and they [Israel] shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them [Israel] and be their God.' "

"...Fear not Mary,...He shall be great, and shall be the Son of the Highest: and Yahweh shall give unto Him the throne of his father David: and He shall reign over the House of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom their will be no end." Luke 1:30-33.

Here we have the establishment of Christ Yahoshua's kingdom in the announcement to Mary by the angel. Now according to this Christ was to rule over His people, Jacob/Israel.

And while Yahoshua has not taken that throne yet, it is important to know that there was a descendant of David sitting on that throne at that time, just not in Judea. No, the descendants of David had long migrated to the isles of the sea where the prophet Jeremiah had overseen the planting in the British Isles through the daughter of Zedekiah, Tei Tephi, whose marriage to Eochaid the Heremon not only insured that David would never fail to have a descendant upon the throne, but also healed the breach between the Zarah and Pharez branches of Judah. This prophecy of David's descendants remains fullfilled.

"Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel...Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother,' This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel..." Luke 2: 25-34.

"There was also a prophetess, Anna...she gave thanks to God and spoke to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.":36-38.

Then in Matthew 15: 21-28 we see a canaanite woman come to the Messiah over her demon possessed daughter. Yahoshua at first would not even speak to the woman until His disciples asked Him to get rid of her. His response is very plain.

"I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel."

It wasn't until that woman, whom the Messiah referred to as a dog, acknowledged her position in regards to Israel, that Yahoshua granted her request. Notice that He never offered her anything else.

While we are at it, let's touch on that word "lost". This word is actually referring to something put away or punished. So reread that line," I am not sent but to the put away or punished sheep of Israel", which is exactly the condition Israel was in.

"Jesus [Yahoshua] went about all Galilee, teaching in their synogogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom." Matthew 4:2.

What were the parables about which Christ taught? The kingdom. Christ taught the gospel of the kingdom. The gospel of personal salvation is not mentioned, except in regards to citizenship in the kingdom of God which is made up of the House of Israel, which became the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic and Scandanavian countries and peoples, and the House of Judah which did the exact same thing.

Is it becoming clear now why the disciples were so concerned about the restoration of the kingdom?

Let's dispel another myth shall we?

"...Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth adoption [why would Israelites need to be adopted, except that they had been 'put away'?], and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises." Romans 9:4.

Well that's pretty much all there is to offer, and according to Paul, this is all reserved to Israel. These people being referred to as "gentiles" are nothing more than the "lost" sheep or tribes of Jacob/Israel. Watch this.

"As He saith also in Osee [Hosea], I will call them my people which were not My people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, ye are not My people; there shall they be called the children of the Living God." Romans 9:25-26.

"...Gomer had another son. Then Yahweh said,'Call him Lo-ammi, for you are not My people and I am not your God.' " Hosea 1:8-9.

That sounds pretty harsh, but read on."Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted." :10

So Yahweh is actually telling the ISRAELITES that they will be called "not My people". And yet, they would not cease to exist or be absorbed into other ethniticities, but would literally, physically thrive.

"In the place where it was said to THEM [the Israelites],'you are not My people [gentiles],'they will be called,'sons of the Living God." :10

"And I will sow her unto Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not My people, Thou art My people, and they shall say, Thou art my God." 2:23.

So when Paul quoted these very verses, he wasn't talking about non-israelitish people. He was talking about the "lost, put away or punished sheep of the House of Israel, now being referred to as gentiles. These greeks, gauls, celts, etc. were none other than those very Israelites referred to as "not My people", but in the place where they were considered "not My people" [Europe], the Gospel of Christ spread like wildfire and they became the "sons of the Living God".

There is so much history and legacy here, that there have already been hundreds of books detailing and proving these statements. I have treated with this subject only very lightly, to give the reader a certain understanding of "the kingdom of God."

You see, Judeo-Christianity talks a great deal about the "kingdom of God". But like their concepts of holiness and sin, this kingdom is nebulous, abstract, undefinable. It too, also changes as our cultures and societies change. It has been spiritualized and mishandled until every concievable race, nation and creed can be found within it's transient borders. The kingdom of God no longer means a literal kingdom, but rather a fanciful spirit/mind place to which our souls may fly in the great by and by.

It has been well said that when Christ came as Saviour, everyone wanted a king. This time when He comes as King, everyone will be looking for a Saviour.

So what does all this have to do with the law, you may ask? Well, you may.

"...a king rules with love and honor: The "dom' part of a kingdom comprises: 1] land, domain, dominion 2] people, over whom the king reigns 3] throne or authority 4] law, code of conduct for peace and order." [From "The Tender Twig" and "Epilogue, God's continuing kingdom." By Frances Henking.

As you can no doubt tell the wonderful thing about Judeo-Christianity's abstract "spirit kingdom" is that it requires no real code or standard of conduct, the "spirit kingdom" being an everchanging entity that seeks to be constantly compatible with the everchanging attitudes of society.

At one time it was preached that to marry outside of one's own race was sin [as per the law]. But as the antichrists tore down the walls of segragation between the races, and as dictated by the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, began to elevate other races above their position while simultaneously promoting white guilt for all the evils of the world, interracial marriage not only became accepted in the church, but now anyone who dares speak out against it is condemned as worse than a murderer or a rapist. Homosexuality, at one time denounced in the most virulent of terms, has now gained such prominent status that sodomites do not even fear to become ministers and pastors.

Has Yahweh God's mind been changed? Of course not! Rest assured , abominations will still find themselves outside of His kingdom, for the rules are steadfast and unchallengeable, no matter what WE may want. It is not our place to question, it is our place to OBEY!

Spiritual Israel.

This is a creation of desperate men. Seeing all that actually pertains to the lost tribes of Israel in scripture, yet unable to identify them, the logical assumption to most is that Yahweh God could not fullfill His promises. That not being a very inspirational thought, and not bothering to dig deeper to find the truth, they concocted "spiritual Israel", which is what passes for the kingdom of God in judeo-Christianity. There is no scripture, anywhere, that gives credence to this false teaching.

"Those who claim to be Judahites but are not, but are of the synogogue of satan."

As stated earlier, Edomites had gained control of both the civil government and the temple worship in Jerusalem by the time of Christ. Jew had become a catch all term ranging in meaning from literal racial Judahites to the hodgepodge Judeans. Add to this the introduction of the Kazars into Judaism around 700 A.D., a group having no semitic or shemitic ancestry thus creating the Ashkenazi jews of eastern Europe who comprise over 90% of jewry to this day, and Christ's words in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 are prophecy fullfilled to the letter. [For more details see Arthur Koestler's The Thirteenth Tribe ].

So whether sephardic or askenazi, jews have no literal claim to the kingdom of God, nor to His promises or covenants. Esau/Edom's goal was always to usurp not only the land of Palestine, but also the designation of "chosen people". This they have done to the letter.

By the way, as concerning those who utilize the name of Israel now, consider this,"The nations shall see your righteousness and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the Mouth of Yahweh will bestow." Isaiah 62:2.

"And you shall leave your name for a curse unto My chosen; For Yahweh God shall slay them, and call His servants by another name."Isaiah 65:15.

The true Israelites were to be known by a new name, while their ancient name would be left as a curse. Most Palestinians would readily agree on that whole curse issue.
